After Trek

Does any other country show the "Talking..." shows that come on after Walking Dead and Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul?

I've never watched any of these post show analysis series before, so can someone tell me, are they all as awful as what I just saw with this one?

In theory with all its interesting guests I should have enjoyed this. I think it was the super-irritating host who just laughed inanely every other sentence that cancelled that out and made it pretty much unwatchable for me though.

In my experience they are all pretty irritating. They seem to be trying to portray some sort of casual, light-hearted variety show type atmosphere. Like, aren't we all just so clever because we're fans and in-the-know and we just hang with the cast like it's no big deal. In the Walking Dead one they sometimes have drinking games where you're supposed to drink every time they say a certain word. It all just comes across as incredibly annoying and lacking in substance. The type of inane conversation you'd be involved in at a party where you don't know the attendees that well.

All that being said, I haven't watched After Trek yet, but I'll give it a shot.

Matt Mira dropped an Eff-Bomb during the after show.

While talking about Ponfar to James Fran, he used the term "fucking" once, and then said "Am i allowed to use the word fucking, maybe they'll bleep it"? James was taken out of the moment and asked Mira to please not use that word, even though it was Jim who started talking about Ponfar... Also it was a live stream, and too late to bleep.

Every one seemed like friends again quickly, but there's I'd say a %30 chance that Matt Mira has been fired, and a %5 chance that he has been asked to swear continuously to "keep it real".

I'm sure it's fine. Anything goes on streaming.

Same. I barely made it three minutes before I skipped forward...and then gave up completely. Call me out of touch, but I have no interest in shows that keep "going to the twitter comments" for material.

No interest. I watch Talking Dead occasionally after a big episode, and fast forward through about 75% of it because it's completely frivolous, but that's the only after show I can even moderately stand, and even then, Chris Hardwick is such a shill.

Also, I didn't enjoy the two-part pilot very much, and I'd have to actually start liking the main show itself before I would consider watching an after show.

Social media is a bear trap for idiot children.

"HMMM? Wtf is #Star Trek, and why is it trending? Well, Vampire Diaries is cancelled, so I have nothing to do, might as well give it a looksie."

And I think that bit of info just took me from "I mean, it's probably bad, but I should at least check it out once, right?" to "OH HELL NO!"
