Star Wars Rebels Season Four (spoilers)

I wonder if the last bit of episodes reference TLJ stuff, so they want to get the first half of the season out of the way?

It could just be that they're trying to make them feel like a bigger event than a standard episode.

It's not just this show, though. Disney XD has also been doing something similar with Marvel's Spider-Man, debuting two or even three consecutive episodes per week, though sometimes with 2-3 weeks between new episodes. And they're probably doing the same with other shows. Maybe it's just adjusting to the popularity of binge viewing, or recognizing that a lot of people will DVR them.

I didn't know that, I don't get Disney XD, so I never payed much attention to their schedule.
That is a bit odd, but like you said, this could just be them attempting to adjust to the new ways people are watching TV.
I thought there seemed like there were a lot more Spider-Man episodes on the Disney Channel app than there should be. I had just assumed I lost count of the weeks it had been on.

They've started adding some of the XD shows to the Disney Channel app, like Spider-Man and Ducktales, so I'm hoping maybe they'll add this too.

Well for Season 3 they waited until after Rogue One came out before they did their R1 episode.

So the mid-season break starts in November, and leaves us 5 episodes in 2018.

Dave Filoni said at Fan Expo that the last 5 episodes will tie up loose ends.

I'm very curious to see where the show will end, and if we'll get any kind of flashforwards.
My ideal ending point would be either the Battle of Skariff or Yavin.

I would like to know why "General Syndulla" wasn't part of the briefing where Jyn tried and failed to convince the Rebel leaders to go to Scarif. I know we heard her paged to come to the conference room right after that scene, so we know she was on-site but something else was keeping her from attending. Both times I've seen that scene, I couldn't help thinking "If Hera were here, she'd take Jyn's side and help convince the others."

My guess....and this is just a guess based on seeing the Ghost on Yavin and hearing "General Syndulla" being called to someplace in the base, and that we didn't see Leia at that meeting either, that the Ghost was for whatever reason on a mission with Princess Leia. Possibly escorting the Tantive IV back to Yavin. The Tantive IV was supposedly damaged, which was why she was inside the cruiser's hanger bay for the entire battle. The Ghost was riding escort very close to the cruiser the entire battle, but we don't see the Ghost after the Death Star arrives.

My guess is that Hera and Leia arrived late for the meeting due to some issues with their last mission and probably get into an argument with what remains of the leadership there before they hear that Jyn and the captured Imperial shuttle have gone. The first teaser for Season Four has Hera talking like the beginning of a flashback sequence, and I half think that might be her talking to either Mon Mothma, Leia, and Bail just after Hera hers the news about the Death Star and the failed meeting with the Alliance High Council. Than news comes to them about Jyn leaving. Hera and Leia probably figure out what's up and get their ships ready along with Admiral Raddus, and as not long after news coming in that their is a rebel attack going down on Skariff, Hera packs up R2 and 3PO onto the Ghost, deliver them to Leia's ship, then detach to just the Ghost in escort of Admiral Raddus into destiny.

^Keep in mind the the scene between Mon Mothma and Bail Organa. Bail said he was going to task his best operative with finding General Kenobi, and referred to that operative as "her." When he left, we heard a page of Captain Antilles. At that point, then, Leia and the Tantive must've been on-planet, and Bail must've met them and given Leia the mission to find Kenobi before he left to return to Alderaan (oops). So you'd have to include that in your timeline of Leia's actions during the movie.

We didn't just hear Antilles getting paged, he was in that very same scene, hanging out by the doorway. The scene even ends with Bail walking right up to him and saying his name. So yeah, between that and the presence of R2 & 3PO, it's a pretty safe bet Leia and the Tantive IV were there on the ground when the meeting was going on.

As for why Hera wasn't in on that meeting: it's a big base with a lot of people and only so many can be in that briefing room at any one time. Probably mostly just heads of different departments, plus of course the councillors.
Since neither Dreis nor Vander were there but General Merric was, it's a fair bet that he was there representing the fighter wing (I'm running on the assumption that Hera is Green Leader.) Further more, her being paged right after probably means she and the other two squadron leaders are immediately briefed on what just happened.

Plus when Bail says "I would trust her with my life" they play Leia's theme. It's not subtle.
