David Gerrold was not invited to the premiere. Seems unhappy about it.

CBS did not invite me to the Tuesday night premiere of Star Trek Discovery.

I'm disappointed and annoyed. CBS has never hesitated to ask me for favors in the past. And I've always said yes. But I guess they forgot about me this time.

It was probably the usual corporate oversight.

But after all is said and done ... it confirms something I've been feeling for a while. As much as I loved the show, as important as it has been in my life, Star Trek is a door that is now closing behind me.

Thanks for the ride, guys, but I'm getting off here.

I have other things to do — I am opening more important doors in front of me.

Among the comments, it's also noted that David Mack did not get an invite. Maybe the organizers really don't like people named David?

If the Star Trek door is closed behind him, does that mean he'll stop selling flatcats at conventions? Does that mean he'll give up his Star Trek/Dr. Seuss book he's currently being sued over? Does that mean his threatened Next Generation book he was cowriting with Cash Markman won't come to pass?

Or does it mean that he's still a social media drama queen and nothing has changed?

They invited Vic Mignogna? Someone in the comment section said so. Isn't he just a fan film actor?
