Voyager season 3

I like "Before And After" but I don't consider it the best Kes episode, those honors go to "Cold Fire" and "Persistence Of Vision".
Jennifer Lien's acting was excellent but the whole story with that constant jumping between now and then gave me a headache, a little bit over the top for me. Still a good one.

"Distant Origin" is great. I agree with your comments on that episode.
Persistence of Vision was great... I agree there. Truthfully, I'd have to rewatch that one to see for sure if Before and After usurps it, but I did really like B&A.

Watched "Displaced" yesterday evening to wind down my weekend.... it was okay, but I can tell it won't be cemented in my memory unless I rewatch it. I did like the scattered scenes between Tom and B'Elanna that I guess were meant (successfully imo) to progress their relationship a bit. Other than that it was just an okay ep for me...

...and, I am nearly finished with season 3 and only one ep that I haven't seen remains. I'd seen Scorpion 1 & 2 previously, but I'll certainly rewatch that one to keep the fluid progression through the eps. ;)

Before and After is interesting because it helps to set up the events in a season 6 episode.

Displaced was OK, not a top episode but still a good one.

One thing I really liked about Displaced was how for once we saw them not be able to instantly read an alien control panel.

Ah, yes, Year of Hell is the one I had heard previously is connected to B&A (well there is a direct statement about it in that ep anyway)... and now a mystery ep in season 6 as well.

Thanks, both of you...

The "mystery episode" is pretty good, some great special effects and some cute character moments ;)

Aaaaahhhhh.... I figured out what s6 ep you guys are referring to now. And only because I know how much Lynx hates that ep! I haven;'t seen that one yet for sure, so we can have an opinion-war when I eventually get to it. ;)

See, Mouse knows what I was getting at:)
Yeah, I know what you're getting at too. But I'm not going to walk...or rather type...on eggshells because of one poster's over reaction to an epiode. I'm looking forward to Cosmic Mouse watching that epiodes and their thoughts :)

Opinion war? You surely know how to have fun ... :D:D:D

Are you trying to provoke him? lol
Ah, I'm used to it. It's been going on for a long time, the constant pecking on a certain character and a certain actress, the constant praising of a certain episode.

A couple of years ago, I would have exploded and come up with some not so nice comments but now I actually don't care that much. I've started to find the whole thing boring.

But sometimes I growl and show my claws so that no one get the illusion that the old Lynx has become a domesticated house-cat! :D

As for up-coming episodes, I won't spoil the party by revealing too much. I'll get back to that later on.

So, Worst Case Scenario ... not sure what the impetus for this ep was; I thought it was kind of a weird ep actually. Firstly, I figured straight away that Torres was in a holo-something, even before the credits ran, then it seemed like it was wavering between a more light-hearted piece and something more sinister. Or maybe the whole "scenario" was just a mechanism to bring the character of Seska back? I have mixed feelings about this ep. Not sure whether I like it or not, partly because it seemed not to have any bearing on anything. Or maybe I missed something.

At any rate, Chakotay in his Maquis garb is SEXY  , kissing Seska is not sexy. :barf2:
...and this might be a good time to ask my frivolous -Chakotay question: what's the deal with the changing hair style? He was on glorious display in this ep sporting both styles, one seems to be his Maquis look and the other his Starfleet look. As soon as he appeared as the holo-Maquis he was back to his old do, unless that was archive footage they recycled from season 1. Stupid question really, but anyone know if there was a reason for this? If not it seems like a completely random decision by the series' hairstylist. And he or she should have left him with his Maquis cut; it's way better looking!

Ok, I only have Scorpion left for this season and I'll prob rewatch that tonight or tomorrow . I'll wait to post my season 4 thread until I get a few eps in, but I'd love to keep the s3 discussion going here...

How would you guys rank the first 3 seasons?

Used to what? People having different opinions? Yes you should be used to that, as should everyone.

I've always been a fan of Seska so I enjoyed Worst Case Scenario. I love the look on Harry's face at the end when he's like I got transporters back and Janeway is like nah we don't need it anymore
