How about McGann?![]()
Or GoT..........Now onto more pressing issues:
I'm not happy. Oh, I'll give it a go and hope she carries the role off well, but honestly, this feels like blatant sexism disguised as balance. Think for a moment: this was the only male hero little boys could look up to who solved his problems with his wits, not force. Who eschewed guns. Who talked to his enemies and always, always, always tried to give them the chance to back off and do the right thing just once. A here who could even give big boys pause in their actions. Not Captain America, not Batman, not Superman, not even James T. Kirk could be relied upon to be a better role model. Chibnall's being a good little soldier and saying this is a fresh start, but wasn't he the one who not so long ago called it a gimmick? They've been signaling this for a few seasons now and there's little doubt this came down from the BBC as an edict.
Yes, the Doctor is the product of an age of rampant sexism and male chauvinism . And yes, the early episodes were embarrassing in their treatment of female characters. But that has changed. There was nothing wrong with a mad man in a blue box.
Since we're now down to pandering to shrill social groups who seek validation with staged gimmicks, I hereby announce the formation of the American Doctor Coalition, dedicated to ending the strangle-hold Britain has held on the character.
I nominate Donald Trump as the 14th Doctor!
Yep. The perspective was all wonky, so I knew it was a VFX shot immediately, and didn't use the real prop (which makes sense for a variety of reasons). Looking closer, I thought I recognized it from one of the old season 2 publicity shots, on the grassy hills of New Earth. It looks like it's this one.I think they just used stock footage of the TARDIS greenscreened into that forrest.
That key probably didn't materialize in her hand for real either.![]()

All this sexist broflake hysteria in people's posts and tweets is rather hilarious.
Actually I think it's deeply wrong, clearly the doctor is a man. A male man who drinks Martini and uses a Walther PPK, proving his manhood by bedding every female in sight, especially the bad guy's token girlfriend. I'm pretty sure they made a terrible mistake and intended to cast Jason Statham really
In fact this is so troubling I seem unable to get erections, my masculinity has been so thrown out of true. Please BBC, make me feel secure again.
Are you implying that he's gay because he's using the words penis and testicles a lot to mock the stupid opinion of a sexist? And if so, what's wrong with being gay in your opinion?
What? This is...some rather conspiratorial nonsense.I'm not happy. Oh, I'll give it a go and hope she carries the role off well, but honestly, this feels like blatant sexism disguised as balance.
