Hi there! I'm watching Voyager for the first time (after watching TOS, TNG and just finishing DS9). Thought it would be fun to share thoughts and reactions!

Thanks I think Voyager is VERY unappreciated in many ways by a lot of Star Trek fans.......
It seems to mature and get better as the years go by, amazing how solid and how well the detailed science explanations are in Voyager.......

I wouldn't say the episode is bad but it is certainly different from most VOY eps.
But then you have this kind of ep at least once every season. For example, THE CHUTE in Season three is a similar experience for me.

Yeah, there are some episodes that stick out like a sore thumb. But there are a few of those on each show and I would say that Voyager is pretty good for this because most episodes are a delight to watch. Of course, I am biased, after all I consider this show to be the best show ever made ... (supported by the fact that I'm watching it for the 36th time right now ...)

    Hello all...
I would definitely not call myself a rabid Trekkie, but I do like Star Trek... watched a good part of the OS as a kid and some of TNG when I was in high school, when it originally aired. Everything else is basically uncharted territory, including Voyager. I just recently watched ~50% of the series and loved most of what I saw (which, unfortunately, was kind of random episode-hopping, so I missed a LOT I am sure).
I have to say, based on what I recall from both OS and TNG I prefer Voyager. Love Seven of Nine, love the doctor, can't say I love Chakotay, but he is easy on the eyes lol... and I wish Tuvok had more screen time because he might be my favorite Vulcan in the ST universe. Most of all I LOVE the cosmos!!

cosmic mouse reporting for duty! :techman:

    Greetings!
I have watched Star Trek from the beginning. The Original will always be my favorite, but I have appreciated the good writing and drama from the others. Voyager's premise particularly caught my imagination when it first aired. I will always lament the various bad creative choices that kept it from rising to its potential, but appreciate when it does something well. I have been living life and tried to stay away from BBCAmer airing the various Treks, but made the mistake of watching Scorpion recently and remembered how good the series could be. Since then I've been re-watching favorites and such. One thing led to another and I ended up here. Best wishes to all.
