List Only! Last Star Trek Episode You Watched

The Conscience of the King (TOS)

One of the worst TOS episodes, imho, playing on people's fears that Hitler got away. The only way to identify him in the 23rd century is by an eye witness.
I guess they lost the ability to identify people via DNA technology in the 23rd century.

Watching The Wrath of Khan

Definitely beginning to grow on me. I originally saw it without having seen Space Seed first, which kind of ruined it for my then but adds much depth to the motion picture now, at least in my mind.

The aesthetics are almost as good as they were in TMP, but the bridge is darker, less futuristic.

TNG: "A Matter Of Honor" Remembered so little about this one, so it was fun to rediscover. I wish we'd seen more Benzites, that's great makeup!

TNG "Symbiosis." The anti-drug message was a little heavy-handed, as was Picard's interpretation of the Prime Directive.

TNG "The Outrageous Okuna" on H&I
The one good thing about this episode was a young Teri Hatcher playing the transporter operator. I don't know what Starfleet's regulations on hair are. But her hair was definitely non-regulation.

I saw a Youtube video on the obvious plot goofs and ridiculous coincidences of "Star Trek Beyond" if that counts. They were all true.

TNG: The Big Goodbye, streamed on Netflix.

Back to Season One, 1988, and my TNG rewatch.

The first and best of the holodeck episodes, before the novelty wore off and "holodeck episode" became a four-letter word.

My main problem with this episode is, once again, Wesley. There are over a thousand crewmembers on Enterprise, and there is most likely an entire department of engineers and technicians dedicated to maintaining the holodeck, but since the 15 year old know-it-all kid in the hideous sweater read the manual once, lets send him in to fix the thing. Bleh.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture

As familiar as I am with the plot by now, I still enjoy the aesthetics, the music, and overall excellence of the production. It's also the last time we saw Kirk without the "old man haircut."
Shat should have stuck with the old "Jim" hairstyle from TOS for anything Trek related that he was going to do, but instead he went with variations on his TJ Hooker look for the subsequent movies, which, looking back now, is kind of dated and doesn't hold up very well.

There was a thread on Shatner's hair recently. Somebody put TOS Kirk hair on TUC Kirk's face. It looked terrible.

"Too Short a Season". Possibly the most boring opening in Trek?

Followed by "Where Silence Has Lease". I'd forgotten how creepy that episode was once things start happening. It's not "Frame of Mind" creepy, but still.
