Agents of Shield - Season 4

Yeah, this is ridiculous. Taking huge hiatus' can't be doing great things for the ratings, and it just screws up the flow of the show in my opinion. Plus, its pretty irritating A six week hiatus at this point is mind boggling. .

^^ The ratings are already in CW territory. I don't think it matters much at this point.

An LMD also served as vice-president between 1993 and 2001, and won the popular vote against Dubya.
At the time, I was writing a round-robin story with my two Brothers and one of my characters was RoboGore, the VP's superhero proxy. :rommie:

Presumably the flow is supposed to stop as the main SHIELD crew will have to deal with being in the framework and needing to recover from things like reliving Bahrain. Then we get to the probable series finale story arc, I know I would run the show with that possibility. Within a larger MCU you don't have to kill off the cast for a finale like Magnum PI only to be told come back for another year.

It is the new format of TV, as it has moved away from spreading episodes from September to June and maybe getting a summer replacement series model of my youth..

Hah. Just picked up the new issue of Marvel's U.S.Avengers and the plot is about . . . America's most powerful CEOs being replaced by life-like robots.

The more things change . . ... :)

^^ These days it may be considered a good thing to replace the top actors in government and business with LMDs. :rommie:

Just before the break, they'll all be sitting around having a beer and Fitz will bring up the Simulation Hypothesis.

Exactly. Some of us have been waiting for LMDs since episode one. People started speculating that the Koenigs were LMDs the moment we found out there was more than one of them. LMDs are a fundamental bit of SHIELD lore and always have been.

I wonder if having the Koenigs as LMDs was the original intent, but they decided to change it when they came up with the current plot line.

Given that Simmons autopsied Eric, that doesn't seem terribly likely. They did quite literally tease it early on, but just for laughs.

Maybe Eric was intended to be the original and the autopsy was to throw everybody off.

This just keeps reminding me of Battlestar Gallactica. Who's a cylon (LMD) and now all the Daisys (Boomers).

He's baaaaaaaaack....

If Simmons's avatar is dead in the framework, what happened to the real Simmons?

Daisy waking up in a bathtub...that's gotta be a BSG nod.

I think Briana Venskus must be a transdimensional being. She exists in both the DC and Marvel multiverses -- as Agent Vasquez of the DEO on Earth-38 and Agent Piper of SHIELD in the MCU, who might as well be the exact same person. And both her return appearances in those roles in the past month have been in episodes about the hunt for impostors in a locked-down base.

This was a hell of an episode overall -- intense, twisty, clever, well-directed. And that cliffhanger -- looks like the Framework isn't as idyllic as we thought. Is this the last episode before the break? Is the rest of the season going to be about the Framework and the alternate world?

Why did Skye waste her time fighting against Mace? So that the showrunners can display her fighting skills? It would have more logical for her to use her powers against him when the fight first began. This is so stupid.

As for the ending . . . it was NOT a pleasure seeing Ward again. And the whole scenario seemed to be a rip off of "CAPRICA".
