Agents of Shield - Season 4

This arch isn't as strong as the Ghost Rider arch, but it's not bad. I still want to see Deathlok's return.

I agree on all counts. If "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." make it to Season Five, I will be surprised.

Time.com, 1/29:

The White House is defending the statement it released on International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Friday that had no mention of the 6 million Jews that were killed.

Hope Hicks, the Donald Trump administration spokeswoman, told CNN that, "despite what the media reports, we are an incredibly inclusive group and we took into account all of those who suffered."

Other than having no mention of the 6 million Jews killed, the statement also failed to mention anti-Semitism.
... Remember when the MCU's whole plot arc of a small but far-reaching sleeper cell of quasi-Nazis in the American halls of power felt like cheap comic-book silliness?

Meanwhile, back on Agents of SHIELD....

A Russian referring to himself as "the superior man"? Red Guardian or some other established Russian character?

ETA: Anton Ivanov isn't turning up any matches on Google.

May's escape simulation remind anyone else of Dollhouse's dreaded "Attic"? Albeit rather less frightening...

And the superior should be former SHIELD agent Felix Blake, as it was revealed he was leading the Watchdogs in the episode where Mac went home to deal with his brother. But with Titus Welliver the lead on Amazon Prime's Bosch, they may have someone else turn out to be his superior.
I'd forgotten all about that/him.

How did Fitz figure out that the Radcliffe they'd captured was an LMD? And what if he'd been wrong?
Well, to be fair, there was only an 8% chance he was wrong...

According to the AV Club reviewer, the LMD gave himself away by saying "My only goal is to preserve life. It’s my first priority!" Which, okay, that's a pretty robotic statement, in context, but I agree it still doesn't justify Fitz's gamble.

I don't know about this ending. It doesn't feel right with me and it seemed to have come from left field.

Yeah, a few things didn't sit right with me through this whole episode, including that ending.

I have no clue what Fitz figured out about the Radcliff LMD's programming.

There were so many hints dropped about programming and dreams and whatever that I expected someone to wake up and find the whole thing was another simulation.

On the plus side, the whole Koenig family was pretty entertaining. Too bad we probably won't see them again anytime soon.

Another great episode. I loved the whole Koenig clan, including new additions Thurston and LT. Lots of great fourth wall breaking, too, from shipping Quake and Black Widow as Quack and "What, you thought they were robots?"

I loved all the well-constructed verbal teases at the Koenigs being less than human before they finally came out with the truth of it.

It was a fine episode. I like seeing Patton Oswald. I hope he returns soon.. I also got a weird feeling when they kept Robo-May alive. I forgot who thought of it before, but I hope they don't kill off the real May to replace her with the LMD. I'd give them respect for doing something so daring, but that'll be a bad ending for May's story.

I don't know that it would be an ending. After all, the synthetic brain Aida built for LMayD contains an exact model of her mind. Aside from the programmed compulsion to get the Darkhold, she essentially is May in every respect -- the same memories (up until the point her brain was scanned), the same emotions, the same personality.

I thought the Russian guy in the sub was the superior.
That was my impression, too, even thought it wasn't explicitly stated.

That would be a bit out of the blue. I mean prior to this episode has either of Fitz's parents even been mentioned before?
I don't believe so. Hell, I don't think any of their parents have been mentioned or seen aside from Daisy's and May's.
