STC Ep. 8: ???....

Well if they don't talk about what they are doing, they can't get any bad publicity, get thrown under Alec's bus, or get any C & Ds. Just be patient, and they will all come out at once when they are finished, most likely, in one batch, where they will be immortalized (and nitpicked) on the internet for the rest of time.

I'm not sure about the "one batch" approach, but I wouldn't recommend it. Spacing them out over 9 months or so would be better, to give people time to assimilate and enjoy each one on its own. Of course, this is assuming that future developments allow them to be released at all.

Thats why I figure it needs to be one batch. They release one and get told to stop, then there goes the other 3. Release all 4 at once and you're in the clear.

I think that would be contrary to what Vic has said and done in the past.

Right, but what was done in the past isn't relevent in this post Axanar landscape.

I'm just predicting the most logical way of going about this, given the legal possibilities.

Possibly. Just saying having heard him in person talk at conventions and in interviews numerous times, IMO I think there is a bigger possibility of the rest of us never seeing those last 4 episodes then of him doing something he knows will piss off CBS and end his good relationship with them. The people who made them will see them done, I just hope the rest of us will too.

My gut is that will never happen, and if it did, I'm sure they would still find their way to torrent sites eventually. I would be very, very surprised if these never saw the light of day.

I think the continued good relationship Vic has had with CBS all but guarantees that we'll see the eventual release of the remaining STC episodes. It just going to be a while, until we get outta the mess that Axa built.

Hmm now that Axanar is over lets have some EP8 news, teaser photo, something please :)

Chris Doohan tweeted "more to come" to a fan that complimented STC today, but I see he subsequently deleted it. I can certainly understand why, given today's Axanar developments.

Discovery getting delayed - AGAIN - does work in STC's favor, I think. I reckoned all along that CBS/Paramount was going to tell all fan film series to finish up by the time DSC made it to air, regardless of what happened with Axanar. Now STC may have up to this fall to wrap things up; plenty of time if principal photography's already finished. With nothing else going on in the ST Universe this year and ST-XIV in preproduction, CBS/P has nothing to lose and some fan goodwill to gain by letting STC reach the finish line unimpeded.

It's a small thing, folks, but questions on Michele's Facebook page about a new episode are being "liked" today instead of ignored. As I say, a small change, but not insignificant.

I think it's pretty much confirmed that SOMETHING is happening underground despite the continued quiet on the surface.

Maybe they want to complete the series and release it all at once?

I don't see the need for an "all at once" release, but I can understand at least wanting to get them into post before announcing anything.
