So apparently Vic is still working on STC episodes, but his hands are currently tied from directly and openly saying anything about it.

But how long can he keep his Viewers and Facebook followers happy (in both groups) with the stream of filler posts about the STC and Trek in general with no official word of the next episodes?

My thoughts exactly. Even if Vic were to make an announcement to KS/IGG backers only, it would still leak out, and I wouldn't want STC to be put in jeopardy because of loose lips.

Well, the factual record is made at the district court level, and a case like this is unlikely to get sent back for a second jury trial, so much of the pressure should be off by February.

Well I doubt the silence / "hold" would have to last longer then the completion of the episodes. Once they are released publically, there is not much to be worried about, in terms of being told not to make them....

STC versus AP reminds me of something that happened when I was in high school...
I was wearing a cute pink nail polish with the express purpose of keeping me from chewing my nails. Another girl in my class decided that she wanted to use White-Out on her nails just for giggles. They would have to demonstrate a basis for appeal. You can't just do take two of a lawsuit because you don't like it, and an appeal is not really another version of the lawsuit. And even then, it is a matter of what part of the court decision is being appealed. Even an appeal could leave most of the rest of the decision settled.

Doesn't mean they won't try. They have been working their case around taking it to the appellate level.

Sad but maybe true. At least they are still filming and eventually we will see the episodes. Even Starship Farragut who still has one more episode to release has gone to quiet mode as well.
