^ Yeah the story was pretty short. The Spock ending, well I did not see that coming, seemed contrived to me I thought they were going to borrow the 'Picard' set up.

I hope Valas returns in a later storyline and the Romulans get their asses kicked for what they did to her.

Since she is not a canon character chances are she is dead already. In universe, the Federation is not going to risk a war over one officer, she knew the risks when she signed up.

The pacing of the first three issues really made me think this was a five-parter. The final issue felt rushed and incomplete. The set-up was pretty good, but the pay-off was lacking. They needed a whole issue with Borgified Spock before wrapping up in an issue 5.

Maybe Section 31 could use her in some new gambit.

Well according to the comics they hold the last of the red matter (hated that story). They can threaten Romulus...again.

I hope they have a long arc leading up to the inevitable "Borg attack Earth/Romulus" story that is to come.

Read Issue 5 and it definitely is a nice issue that gives more backstory to Jaylah.

It took me a couple of pages to get accustomed to the structure of the story (told in reverse) but after that, I really enjoyed this one. For a stand-alone story, if felt substantial. I'm really enjoying how Johnson is inserting the Starfleet Academy cast into the series whenever it makes sense to do so, like their cameo in this issue.

Do we see more of the Franklin? And learn Jaylah's species name?

Issue #6 was a nice "one and done." The Endeavor finds a white hole, and their investigation threatens the ship.

The last page reveal was a real surprise (which I won't reveal here).

I really liked Chris Mooneyham's art. It's atypical for a tie-in comic, but that made it stylish and unique.

That plot kinda came out of nowhere, but oh well.

So In this recent issue Sulu refers to terrell as Craig instead of Clark Terrell. I tweeted Mike Johnson and he said that Craig error will be fixed and it will be changed back to the canon name Clark.

I enjoyed issue six for the most part. I wish they would have given it two issues, just to let things breath a bit. The art was really good though. It reminded me of early Frank Miller (before he became so ridiculously hyperstyleized) and Norm Breyfogle.

Changed for the reprint omnibus? Or just future stories?

The reprint, most probably. Just a lettering error. If memory serves, there was a lettering error in Countdown (namely, the number of years Spock spent on Romulus) that IDW fixed in the collected edition.
