Spoilers Arrow - Season 5

And I'm not sure what purpose it served for her to reveal herself at that point in Prometheus's plan

I assume she had no choice at that moment due to Wild Dog having 2 guns on him. Even if not the case it seems Prometheus takes great joy in just hurting Ollie so maybe he just wants Ollie to feel the pain of betrayal by one of his own and nothing more.

I felt this was one of the best episodes to date and not just in Arrow but in the DCEU TV verse. The shocking way Prometheus had Ollie kill Felicity's boyfriend, the fact we see real consequences for their actions from a breaking marriage as Paul took it the way most spouses would take the news IMO, Diggle's past catching up with him (I assume Prometheus gave his location away), Felicity losing her boyfriend and Ollie who is now a broken man. That ending as well OMFG - I assume this is not related to Flashpoint since they all still have memories of her death and she is from a different Earth.

The woman who trained Ollie in Russia and possibly Prometheus, any chance she could be Talia Al Ghul? I've not been this excited by an episode since the 3rd midseason finale where Ra's virtually killed Ollie.

Arrow is on FIRE!!!

It seems extremely unlikely that this Laurel is the one from Earth-2 given that there was no opportunity for her to escape S.T.A.R. Labs and Team Flash would've notified Oliver if she had somehow managed to do so.

Evil metahuman Earth 2 Black Siren that tried to kill Barry is still alive somewhere?

After falling unconscious, Laurel was locked up in the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator, where she attempted to get out, though her sonic scream had no effect on the soundproof cell, to which Vibe mocked her. Caitlin considered telling Sara and Quentin, the sister and father of Laurel's deceased Earth One counterpart, about Earth Two Laurel, but Barry voted against the idea, not wanting to ruin their memory of the Laurel they knew.[1]

I would'a assumed after they licked Earth hopping, that she would have been sent "home" to earth 2 to answer for her crimes there?

Although team Flash's Alliance with ARGUS means that the Suicide squad is a good enough reason that they might have let her out on missions, if Barry passed the buck.

Oliver Queen died on earth 2, Robert Queen became the Arrow there, but as soon as I saw Laurel, I assumed that it was totally possible that Prometheus is Oliver form the future or Oliver from an Alternate timeline.

Guessing the DA is Prometheus.

He's
supposed to be Vigilante.

So, knowing how inspired Arrow is by The Dark Knight Trilogy (see "the clowns are hostages!" in this episode) would that mean Prometheus might be Bane? :D

Joking aside, I don't think the photo kid is Prometheus, that would be to random. Prometheus is probably gonna set up more of these scenarios from Oliver's past since he's determined to make him suffer.

The episode was pretty strong, and Oliver's return to killing that was built up over the season payed off in a big way. Will be interesting to see where he goes from here. I liked how the entire team stood behind him in what was obviously a very traumatic experience and they didn't do the whole "it's your fault" routine.

With Evelyn now gone, and the stakes raising higher will Thea get back to being Speedy on a more permanent basis?

I wasn't expecting Season 1 flashbacks till next season, but aren't they slightly exaggerating just how ruthless Oliver was back then? This episode implied he killed all those henchmen getting to the bad pharma guy, but as I recall he mostly just incapacitated henchmen back then... mostly.

Laurel's back... yay! But... who, what, how, huh? :cardie: *cue dramatic music*

In the very early episodes of season one (Flashback was pre Felicity on the team) Ollie took out anyone working for the bad guy if they got in his way.

Maybe after the Dominators messed with his head, Ollie is now manifesting a head-Laurel?

My suspicion is that Susan, the reporter girlfriend, is working for Prometheus (or is Prometheus, though that's a stretch), that she's drugged Ollie, and that he's now hallucinating being in the laur with Lairel -- err, the lair with Laurel. Although that would be kind of lame given that he had a hallucinatory experience just last week.

Stephen pretty much confirmed that Laurel isn't a hallucination, and it's unlikely that she's an escaped Black Siren because there's been no opportunity for her to have escaped S.T.A.R Labs, especially undetected.

Amen to that, that might just have been my favourite episode of Arrow.
I actually loved the flashbacks and how they were used, that's how you do it.

I forgot about her. That's probably who it is.
Susan might work with Prometheus, could she actually be Talia? She has a clear motive.
But then who could Prometheus really be?
Who has a connection to Oliver who can still be alive with a reason to destroy his life that we have already seen at this point?
Usually reveals like these have significance, unless they bank on Prometheus being inconsequential and a red herring with Talia masterminding everything from in plain sight.
Still, with all those throwbacks to season one, I would not be surprised if we have a know character returning, so the line "I had four years.." still makes sense.

Well, that's because the voice actor is Michael Forn, similar to how Tony Todd voiced Zoom last year.
And now I want Zoom and Prometheus to team up. How cool would that be? :mallory:

I also really liked this week's episode. Thematically, both this and last week's "Invasion!" are both classic 100th-episode celebrations, in that they both revisit old characters and recall past times, albeit in different ways. If anything, they could be taken as two parts of a whole.

This week was way better though, as it wasn't saddled with an alien plot at the same time; not dissing it though, the whole "Invasion!" thing was a great adaptation of how comic books do crossover arcs by focusing on each book / show / team's own part in the overall story while incorporating all sorts of goodies from the other entries.
