It's actually a 2001 Clavius-base-inspired recreation.
Pretty cool, I dig this one....like that you even put a custom MSD by the lift in the Mitchum photo. Kudos.

Nice. I've dabbled with Sketch-Up but haven't sat my butt down to put real effort into learning it. I really should do that.
Your catamaran hull could use some extra love, you've got way too bulky edges in there. You might not like this, but... That would mean some redesigning of it. I hope they're a separate component from the saucer?

I would like to get a file on the Star Trek USS REPULSE NCC3200 Heavy cruiser for a 3D printer. First saw this ship in a video on fb.
Repulse was designed roughly in Sketchup as a study model. It is in the process of being rebuilt in Solidworks for the purpose of 3D printing primarily in 1:350 scale, among others. Some of the hull shapes will be smoothed as shown here in early work done in recreating the main hull:

By the by, if your model has enough poly's, you might not even need to remodel it to get a more than acceptable 3D print. I've printed my Hayden almost straight from the Warehouse with only a few adjustments on a 3D Systems ProJet 660. Spoilers: nothing is as gratifying as seeing your model take shape before your eyes. Top that off with the printer being a full colour printer, and it's just mind blowing :3

The Repulse will be printed on a Connex 500 and at 1:350 scale, should put her about 24" long. So, it will be necessary for the detail to be fairly precise. The nacelles were already printed and mastered from the Sentinel project and I have several extra sets.
