Too bad, I heard it was going to be yuge.No new episode on Nov 8th due to the election.
How would Barry rig an election?
Barry has super-speed with a side of time travel functionality and technological genius. Somehow, I don't think it would be a problem for him.
Wouldn't the entire Season 1 plan have gone a whole lot easier with Micah and Hannah to rig the election? Instead of needing all sorts of insane things to get Linderman/Nathan into office.... just rig it electronically...![]()
The fact those folks are there implies it was the case, as the real Wells wouldn't have done the experiment until years from now...
Which is why no one should have had powers in Flashpoint yet.
Remember Deadbolt was a Metahuman who did not get his powers from the explosion in Central City. He was not there when it happened. It seemed they were setting up a mystery on how he did get his powers. But they never have revisited that.
Maybe the accelerator explosion was so cosmically transcendent an event that even altering history couldn't erase it, and so the alterations worked "around" it in such a way that it still happened, like one of Doctor Who's "fixed points in time." So even an attempt to restore the original timeline would still fail to erase the explosion or move it back to its later date. The fact that it happened at the same time on Earth-2, apparently the closest parallel reality to Earth-1, may support that idea.
It can't be a fixed point, since it originally happened in 2024 or 2020 or whatever year it was before Eobard changed the past before the show even started.
Still don't get why memories adjust in Flashpoint, but not anywhere else.
Other then the Deadbolt mystery, most powers seem to be magic, alien, serum or tech based, if they aren't accelerator-metas. No real proof of "born mutant" types yet.
In Flashpoint, Barry had effectively undone his own origin as the Flash (sure, it might still happen on the original timeline that Thawne wasn't patient enough for, but THIS Barry shouldn't be the Flash). The memory loss/replacement was connected to using his speed powers, which he shouldn't HAVE, ie paradox activity.
In the "restored" timeline, Barry's not that much of a paradox. He has a few memories that are different, but that's no different to his previous jaunts to the past where he didn't radically alter his own timeline.
