It feels like a long time since we've gotten news.
Frankly I don't have high expectations for this show. Doesn't mean I will watch a crappy production though. The worst that will happen is I will stop watching the show after a couple episodes.

CBS All Access is a bubble were they can do swears and show full sex, and the FCC can't get them. Why create a crimezone where you can get away with murder if you plan on playing it safe?
That's another advantage of teaming up with netflix... They won't have to worry about the show getting cut in the short forecast to amend content for whiney sponsors they have direct communication with insisting that Jesus would have a problem with this weeks episode.

You have me curious. Why, exactly? Earth can still have its optimistic utopia while various other races and planets have their particular challenges and hopes for a better future. Everything in the universe is a dynamo derived from change. Just as a dam gets it's power from a change in water level, there is no drama or change without overcoming obstacles. The longer the water has to fall, the bigger the obstacle, the more power you get from a story of epic drama.
