This is probably more closer to the truth than anything.
In the case of Discovery, I got very close to what I wanted (the time frame), and very far away from what I didn't want, so I consider myself lucky. There are lots of others where this is the opposite. But there is nothing any of us can do about it, except check it out. Just because I got damn near exactly what I wanted, doesn't mean I'm going to actually like the show once I see it.
Damn you all..I want this show to be perfect...I also want it to clean my house, do my laundry, change the oil in my car, spay my dogs and cats..win an Emmy for Best Drama, Music, Actor Actress, and Special Effects and out do Citizen Kane in terms of respect.. the basics..
