Warner bros announce superhero films through 2020

Booster Gold's movie will not be part of the DCEU. I wonder if he had the opportunity if Berlanti would make it part of the Arrowverse. Would it be too confusing for the non comic book fans to have two separate continuities in the movies at the same time? We've got at least two TV universes right now, the Arrowverse and Gotham, so obviously people are able to accept two unconnected universes on TV.

Well, I guess if they introduce an adult Rip Hunter played by Arthur Darvill...

I admit that I have not read any Deathstroke comics, but I googled and he appears to look like this in the comics:

So why cast this guy, while having some grey in the beard, does not look a lot like the comics version:

Could it be because Arrow had success with casting this guy as the Deathstroke?

They do kind of look similar.

So why cast this guy, while having some grey in the beard, does not look a lot like the comics version:

Since when has looking like the comics version been a requirement? Hugh Jackman is a foot taller and far handsomer than Wolverine. None of the actors who've played Barry Allen in live action have been blond, and only one actor who's played Jimmy Olsen has been a redhead (and that was in black-and-white). Many comics characters have been played by actors of different ethnicities. Heck, even when roles are recast within the same continuity, the new actors don't have to resemble the old ones. Don Cheadle doesn't look a thing like Terrence Howard. Mark Ruffalo doesn't look a thing like Edward Norton. James MacAvoy doesn't look a thing like Patrick Stewart.

They're casting actors, not models. They cast based on talent, personality, and chemistry with other actors, not just on appearance.

I don't read Deathstroke in the comics either, but the very first thing I thought when I heard this news was that he looks a lot like the drawings I've seen.

Seriously, other than the fact that his hair isn't already white and he's not wearing an eyepatch (both factors almost guaranteed to be the case no matter what actor they pick), is so incredibly different about him?

The platinum blonde hair & gotee is a fairly iconic part of the design to fans, other than that, he can look like whatever.

He's very funny as a lawyer who makes trouble for Marshall, as I recall.
I didn't remember him either, until you mentioned this. That scene was hilarious.
I think Manganiello looks a lot like the comics version of Deathstroke. IMO he's at least closer than Michael Hogan was in Smallville.

I don't remember seeing Manganiello in anything, so I don't really have an opinion on him.

I will say this, though, I was really hoping for Stephen Lang.

So… the Comedian is Batman's dad and Doctor Manhattan is the Flash's dad!

Snyder's Watchmen part of the DCEU confirmed! ;)

And Silk Spectre is Superman's dad...'s computer. :D

The Watchmen references continue.

Nite Owl I is the voice of the POTUS in BvS.

Batman had a new suit tailored at the same place Nite Owl II uses.
