Jeri Ryan

If this is true then it does seem somewhat unprofessional. Not wanting to work with someone is not a reason to be late, no matter how you are treated. I had a coworker who made my life hell, but i was always on time and did my best at work

I wish I could find that interview but it's been a while since I read it but it was in Ryan's own words.

What matters now is the women have made up and are friends now.

agreed. Though to me it doesn't matter if they hated each other on set. That's between them. They still both gave great performances

Robert Picardo mentioned in an interview that Jeri Ryan was sometimes late to the set due to her wardrobe (not late to work). I'm new here and I have seen a lot of people try to justify Kate Mulgrew's behavior for one reason or another but from what I've read (especially the recent release The 50 year mission vol 2--Robert Beltran doesn't hold back!) and watched conventions on Youtube, including one where Kate Mulgrew admits to being embarrassed about being unkind to Jeri Ryan, it seems like it was mostly one-sided, uncalled for and over the line.

I'm sure things were tense and there was a lot of pressure but being mean/unkind or wanting to forbid your coworker from any bathroom break (The 50 year mission is a very interesting read) is pretty wrong.

That being said, it is impressive to own up to it, especially in a public manner the way that she has.

Jeri Ryan herself said that she didn't want to use the bathroom because of how involved it was with her wardrobe

Not to be a bit nitpicky but she said she tried not to because production had to stop for 15 min if she did. But that she couldn't sustain that outlook long term because that's not realistic when you're working 15 hr days.

I hope when the new show rolls around none of the of the actors have to endure ridiculous uncomfortable costumes. I felt constantly sorry for that poor woman.

Honestly i don't feel sorry for them....They get paid very well for what they do

Better to be 'clever' than to be a whining crybaby who sees a completely harmless joke that absolutely nobody takes seriously and blows it way out of proportion, all presumably in some feeble attempt to think themselves a valiant, gallant white knight.

I bet just seeing a woman's bathroom (how DARE they even ACKNOWLEDGE a different gender!) with a sign of a woman in a dress (WHAT! WHY ARE THEY ASSUMING WOMEN WEAR DRESSES?!?!?!! THE STEREOTYPING, AAHHHHHHH!!!!!!! <brain aneurysm>) must put you into a veritable coma of faux outrage.

So yeah. Call me 'clever' as sarcastically as you want. I'd gladly be that over whatever it is you are.

Jeri Ryan had nothing personally to do with Jennifer Lien's untimely exit from the show.

Mulgrew had no reason to be jealous of Ryan. After all, Mulgrew is now a major character in a hit TV show.

And to call Ryan "Tits McGee" is childish and sexist, as if she can be reduced to her physical attributes. You'd think that no one had ever seen a pair before.

This subject is totally worn out and I wish people would get over it already.

I think Voyager had the strongest female characters in all the Treks: Janeway, Seven of Nine, and Torres, along with DS9s Kira.

You're really overreading my comment little buddy. Bathroom issues? Who even brought that up here? Take a breath, relax. You're really reading way too much in my statement ok? I think you've got some stuff bottled up there that you're bringing into this.

You can't help being jealous. Here was a younger woman, clearly dressed to make the most of her "assets". I can definately understand anyone having less than great feelings about that. But Jeri Ryan always gave a great performance and made the character great.

I'm guessing it wasn't Jeri Ryan who chose the outfits she wore. And that silver outfit that called special attention to her boobs was only worn in two episodes. Jeri herself has said how much she hated that outfit because it was so uncomfortable like a full body girdle.
