Hi @tssurfer ...those images appear to be hotlinked from other sites, which is against board rules, so I've edited them to links. Images should only be posted directly in a thread if they're hosted on your own web space or an image hosting site like Photobucket. Thanks.

I'm a new, and so far pretty poor, Trekkie. I've only been into Star Trek for 7 years now. The new series, and upcoming chance to watch shows I haven't yet watched on Netflix, are drawing me to get more involved in "fandom". TNG is my favorite. I live in Finland and like all sorts of sci-fi.

Hello! Thought I'd introduce myself whilst TNG is on an ad break. Been a Trek fan since I can remember (the first film I ever went to at the cinema was Wrath of Khan, though as I was only two at the time, I don't recall much until I had a proper watch a couple of years later! :P) and have loved it ever since. That said, I haven't yet watched the two most recent films and can only watch Enterprise without its intro music playing.

Well, I'd better start with a simple "Greetings all." My Star Trek obsession probably can be blamed on my Father's mild interest with TOS and its associated games, then by my Mother watching re-runs of TNG during the day. As I got older, I became more and more drawn into the show, and became a life-long devotee to Mr. Spock and Data as characters. I eventually watched the movies, followed by watching Voyager, DS9 and Enterprise religiously. So I would like to say I'm definitely a Trekkie. If you were to ask me which was my favourite series, it will always be TOS, but TNG does follow closely after.

As for myself in general, I'm currently a 25 years old female radiographer, living in a small British town called Warrington, not too far from the city of Manchester. As to where I'm actually from, my father was in the Royal Air Force, so the answer is a little hazy, so for argument's sake, we'll say Lincoln.

Finally, at heart, I'm a half-Vulcan known as T'Prareia who needs some Trekkie friends. Nice to meet you all.

Hi all, am slightly more than a casual fan, but am not sure I deserve any title like "Trekkie", though, the older I get, the more I respect that title. My brother and I used to watch the original series whenever we could, we were both huge fans as kids. My family used to call him "Spock" (even though I was the one with the born and bred pointy ears) and it suited him...he idolized Clint Eastwood and Spock in that order...and yes, I do still adore him. My brother that is...even though he drives me mad....I always wanted to be Kirk, but my brother pointed out that my eccentricities pointed far more to Bones, especially since I was always giving my brother crap for getting into unnecessary trouble and worried incessantly about everything...cue years later and I lived with the drummer of my old band during the heydey of the reruns, and we would spend hours every night watching all the series reruns on Space..they used to run an original, Enterprise, then Voyager and then DS9 every night, and we'd catch as many as we could and then talk about them later. Best times of my life. I miss having someone around who I could talk Trek with...

Hey guys, kind of a newbie here. Used to visit these boards many years ago. I've been a Trekkie since I was about 3 (1975) and look forward to chatting with everyone again.

Hello all, I've been a huge fan of ST since the late 70's and am currently organising my own free to join star trek and science fiction online community, the USS Raven. Could you tell me please if it would be okay to post some details on this forum or if anyone can provide some guidance and about good places I could look for other ST fans? Look forward to being part of The Trek BBS :)

Welcome aboard, Jamie. Regarding your community, our Web Sites/Design forum would be the place to post about that. Otherwise, feel free to bump around wherever.

Hello all! 36 year old Star Trek fan from NY here! I have always had Star Trek in my life. My father used to make up his own dialogue to the comics that hea read to me when i was 2-3 years old! I mostly watched the movies growing up, and some original series episodes with my father, would watch TNG as well when those came on. Strayed a bit as I got older, only catching episodes here and there of DS9 and Voyager (although I always made sure to see the TNG films). Over the past 8 years, found myself being pulled back into the series, gave DS9 my full attention (it is now my favorite), and I am jumping into alternating Voyager and Enterprise episodes. Attended Star Trek Mission: NY with my father to celebrate 50 years and was amazed at how great Trek fans are. I am excited to see what Discovery has in store for all of us.

Hi! I am new to these boards since Friday. I love Enterprise! I have also watched TNG. I would love to talk about both from everyone. I follow other Sci-fi shows. If interested reply to this.

Aye, I'm just here trying to get involved in the Trek online community. I'm a DS9/VOY/ENT guy.

Hello, I'm 18 years old and from Germany. My dad and especially my elder brother have always been huge, huge Star Trek nerds so I really grew up watching the material (most of all TNG but the other ones as well). Like, seriously, our WLAN password is the registry number of the Defiant, we always use the Vulcan salute and say qapla' unironically, have computer panels on our doorframes, throw around quotes my mum doesn't get, etc. So for ages Star Trek was just that thing that I enjoy with my family and nothing more. Then, my first contact with Trek fantom actually was the K/S fantom on tumblr lol... like, don't get me wrong they're all super nice and sweet and the fandom there is fun, but since I love every Star Trek series and not just TOS, and there are lots and lots of other aspects I enjoy about it than Kirk and Spock's relationship I thought I'd sign up on this forum and see how it goes! I'm currently rewatching TOS and TNG, as well as DS9 with my father. I also have to admit I'm pretty excited for Star Trek Discovery and think discussing it on a Trekkie platform might be lots of fun x)

Also is this supposed to be so #meta? ;)

Hi everyone!! I don't think I've been on a forum since 2008, and never on such a big one, so I'm gonna do my best to find my way around here! I've been a Trekkie for about 3 years and I've seen all the series and movies. My favourites have got to be TOS and DS9, although I love all of Trek very much and I'm pretty excited (though a bit apprehensive) for Star Trek Discovery :)

    Hello, All.
I'm new to the Forum. I've been watching Trek since I was a kid in the 70's and it was on after school. I always enjoyed the heck out of it. When ST:TMP came out I sat in the aisle of the theater to watch it. It was not as cool as I was hoping, but it was Star Trek, so I liked it.

I thought TNG was "okay", DS9 was a bit better, and VOY blew chunks. ENT was "meh", and JJ-Trek is simply dreadful. I've enjoyed some of the fan-made episodes and was really looking forward to Axanar... oh well... For what it's worth, I think CBS went the wrong way on that one (like they care about my opinion).

I was on here a lot in the mid to late 2000s. Eventually simply got out of the habit of frequenting the board. I'm pleasantly surprised to find it still exists. I love all incarnations of trek minus enterprise, which I don't dislike, I just haven't watched it extensively enough to form a fair opinion.

Hi, I'm Raye, I first got into Star Trek in 2009 when the first reboot movie came out and pretty much the first thing I did when I got home from the theater was to sit down and start watching every single episode and movie in existence. I'm actually not a big fan of the reboots even though that's what got me into Star Trek in the first place, though I thought Beyond was pretty good. My favorites are probably The Original Series (incl. movies) and DS9; but I don't really like to get into the whole "this series was the best and that series sucks" or "this captain was better than that captain" thing because it stresses me out.

I"m currently in the middle of rewatching all of everything (give or take a few unwatchable episodes) and I figured I should join something like this forum. I don't have nearly enough people in my regular life who care about Star Trek enough to put up with me babbling on about it.
