No Man's Sky

Have Iron and some Plutonium. Have not found any Heridium, maybe a rare deposit where I am located?
The game should tell you about a Heridium deposit found if you got some of the other items, or fixed the thruster.

And Heridium looks like this:

I do think the game needs more graphics variety. And some consistency. One planet I was on, the green spiked quartz looking stuff is Emeril, on another in the same system, it is gold.

Been playing for a week on the PS4, and have had two technical issues: the game crashed once when I fell while mining gold. The other, I don't know whether to pin it on the game, the system or a combination of the two, when I woke up the PS4 the fonts were badly corrupted to the point of not being able to read them, it was the same way in the game. I did a restart of the system and it cleared everything up.

Most of my problems just come down to nitpicks. Though I believe a pair of binoculars would be handy.

Found some Heridium but not enough in that deposit. Fixed the thrusters, but not the pulse engine. Is an access key single use?
Also looking for more Plutonium. Found two mounds of gold so I tried tovstock up.

Take the gold to a trading outpost, and trade it for what you need. It'll either be a free floating ball near a save point or inside some buildings.

I would ask again what was "lied" about.

To be clear, "lied" doesn't mean "I took something out of context and let my imagination run wild with it," as much as some people might believe it does.

For me, it was two specific pieces of space related content. First, Murray's description of the economy, with prices of resources being based on how little or how much resources the small trader ships are able to shuttle between planets and stations in a system. The other was about encountering a large space battle with pirates attacking big freighters, and being able to pick a side and help them out.

There's more but those two are important to me as I'm interested in a game that has a better balance of planet-based and space-based content. As it is, I feel No Man's Sky has way too little space-based content.

Not really, happens to every game.
GTAV had a much bigger drop after the 1st week...
Mostly people who finish the story of a game once and then never play it again...

Ran into my first floating ball, but did not have the gold with me, as I need more suit slots. Is there a ground map to show where you have been and what objects you have run into? Also I did not know you could recover items after you are resurrected.

Finally got my ship repaired. Got more Gold and Plutonium. Instead of taking off, i will explore some more. Any way to get more suit slots? I presume morexdhip slots involves trading up to a better ship. Cannot interact with any animals.

Planetside, there are little metal teepees /\ that you'll see periodically, you can buy new suit slots there (they go up 10,000 units for each new slot). I believe you have to scan an animal (L2 on PS4) before you can interact with them. Scanning them will tell you if the animal is belligerent or not.

I have a script which downloads all of the top 100 games on steam every four hours, and I have been watching No Man's sky rather closely. Rather than focusing on player count, I have been focusing on game rank.

It is true the player count has dropped alot since it first came out, but its rank relative to other games hasn't been so obviously full of fail. It is currently ranked 25.
