What do you want to see in Star Trek 4?

I think that what has worked the best is when they place the crew and other original/previous Star Trek elements in q new setting where anything could happen.

Star Trek 09 was fun because it was Star Trek yet you didn't know what was going to happen next - awesome!

Into darkness has its debate about white washing etc but the biggest usual complaint from fans was the khan scream. The whole radiation scene was very well acted even if it was a rethread of wok.

Things I want.

- New Vulcan - so much talk and we haven't seen any of it
- How is the federation doing without Vulcan - are they worse off? By how much?
- What's happening with the romulans? They know what happened with Vulcan, are they open for reunification or is this an empire victory?
- Is Nero seen as a hero or a monster?

- Admiral Marcus rant about the Klingons - is this perceived aggression on their behalf has something to do with the federation being weaker?

- Would the Klingon-Romulan alliance be scarier this time around?

By now, I think I want something other than an action movie. Since STB didn't do as well as hoped, and they're probably going to cut the budget anyway, I think they should try and branch off into a different style/genre.

In fact, I think the franchise/sequel fatigue extends beyond just the idea of sequels, but to the fact that the BO market has become so overexposed to the same type of film week in and week out.

"Big budget scripts?" While I am of course aware Simon Pegg is an experienced screen writer, I wasn't aware any of his movies were particularly big budgeted.

Although I generally like Peggs films, he didn't exactly knock it out of the park with Beyond. I wouldn't ask him again.

I'd like a lower budget, less action adventurey movie next time.

I think it would have created paradoxes galore, so much so that it would have rendered the timeline completely unmanageable.

Why does the prime timeline need to be restored? Let this one remain. The prime timeline still exists. This crew just isn't in it. I like the Kelvin timeline.

I just hope there will be a Trek 14, full stop. After Beyond didn't do as well as hoped, I'm getting a little worried. But it's still Paramount's biggest movie of the year. And no doubt it will sell well on DVD/ Blu ray

I think we'll get that 14th movie. The problem is how long we'll have to wait till it's done.

I think Chekov shouldn't be recast in this timeline. Since Admiral Pike got a quick and more merciful death in this timeline, perhaps this Chekov's fate should be altered.
