Hillary is spelled with 2 "L"s. How do you feel about his border wall nonsense? His "vetting immigrants" nonsense? His gunnut comments? His a priori cheating accusations? His callousness toward minorities? His threats to ban media? His acceptance of security roughing up protestors? The fact that ultraconservative and racist groups support him?
I don't care for those views.

Bullshit.
Ok.
And you pulled a cheap strawman by saying "Apparently Hilary allowing people to die without back up from her department is the "norm for politicians?" as if I was dismissively talking about life and death situations like Benghazi instead of more mundane ethical lapses like her emails. It was a weak and disingenuous tactic.
Was not intentional, but ok.

Riiiight. Because the Republicans in Congress are such good friends of Hillary Clinton. They didn't press charges because there's nothing to press charges for despite several neutral and partisan investigations.
The investigations are still ongoing, so I'll wait and see. It's a political shell game.

^ I agree with your general sentiment, but da fuck was that? Let's try and have a little more commentary.

In what way are the multiple investigations that found nothing negligent on her part a shell game? That doesn't even make sense. She doesn't control them, so are the Republicans in on the shell game with her? You can't just throw whatever platitudes you can think of at the wall hoping something will stick.

I can't? Oh.

ETA: Let me be very clear, since apparently I am now called upon to defend all of Trump's actions-I can't defend all of his actions. I don't agree with what he says on every topic. I don't think he is the most honest, nor the most ethical, but that's not news to Washington.

I do think that the Republicans have basically played political games with Hillary's emails and have played it safe to avoid appearing "too mean." I do think that the FBI director found incriminating evidence, and that Clinton was careless with classified material. Inspector generals have found as much.

Finally, my point to answering the poll was that I think Trump can win because I think that the American public is fed up with politics as usual. That's my only point. I won't vote for Clinton because I don't trust her, and because I think she will spend the country in to more debt.

Any questions? Send me a PM.

I "get" not voting for Clinton. I don't "get" voting for Trump. I can live with Clinton being Prez. I'd rather not have a Prez than have Trump for Prez.

not exactly a nuanced response...more to the point, even Hillary's most hated enemies on Capitol Hill have been forced to admit, after several investigations, that she did nothing illegal concerning the Benghazi situation
If someone's just going to make things up out of whole cloth, there's not much to say in reply. And there's no point in presenting a counterargument to someone, if the only proof they will accept is one of guilt and any other outcome would be spun as collusion (belief that the State Department is in on the fix, too, is what I fully expect when they find nothing criminal in their investigation).

The idea that Congressional Republicans buried evidence that Secretary Clinton was criminally responsible in the Benghazi tragedy is, wait for it, a conspiracy theory. Funny how they keep tying into the thread topic.

Is every idea you're not comfortable with a "conspiracy theory"?

You were called on to defend it because you said Hillary was less trustworthy than Trump was. If you can't deal with defending your viewpoint it's probably not wise to make indefensible statements.

I do think that the Republicans have basically played political games with Hillary's emails and have played it safe to avoid appearing "too mean."
You didn't like it when someone succinctly replied to your argument, such as it is, by saying "bullshit," but there really is no other answer to this kind of completely divorced from reality nonsense. You don't conduct multiple investigations if you're not trying to find something. And you know what, they should investigate. But at some point after multiple investigations have come up with nothing incriminating, it's time to move on because it becomes obvious you're just playing political games to smear your rivals.

The economy does better under Democrats and federal spending is balanced or reduced more under Democrats.

People voting for Trump to shake things up from "politics as usual" are irresponsible idiots who don't care about the consequences of their actions when they help elect a fascist just because he's not a Washington insider.

Any questions? Send me a PM.
How about no? If you don't want people to respond to you, start a blog.

Of course not. But this is like the third fucking time, now: I never said that I wasn't comfortable with the theory.

I fucking said that I wasn't comfortable discussing them in this thread, and that was because I didn't want to be one of the people steering it off a cliff to talk about Area 51 and fake moon landings. Is that clear enough?

But, it seems that topic actually *does* have relevance to the thread, because people keep falling for them, you included:

Is Trump trying to lose? Is the fix in? The last few elections have had me wondering about collusion. Was Palin a deliberately awful pick for VP? Did Romney deliberately tank his campaign by doing a horrible job? Do the Democratic and Republican parties get along much better behind the scenes than they want the public think they do?

Just another conspiracy theory.

Can I ask a serious question? What would you suggest if not voting for Clinton?
Well, I'm happily voting for Hillary, so that's not a problem. If you're asking for yourself however, if you're socially liberal but fiscally conservative I would recommend voting for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson.

Its an idea worthy of consideration. I didn't say I was convinced of Rep/Dem collusion but I don't think its impossible. Anyway, not every idea you're not willing to consider deserves to be instantly dismissed as crazy "the alien armada is hiding behind Jupiter waiting for the go-ahead".

In order for any sort of collusion to work, it would involve extensive planning and participation across many different levels of government.

That's why it's a conspiracy theory.

That's not why I've designated these ideas as conspiracy theories.

Where is the evidence that Trump and Clinton are in collusion? If you have any, why don't you post some, if for no other reason just to see what happens?

I don't have any. Its just a theory. An idea. A possibility that might be true.
