'Star Trek: Discovery' will be the worst series.

In any case - the trope "Give me that much money and I can do just as good of a job" overestimates the power of money and underestimates the power of talent, training, and experience.

Just a thought: it would be good to start working your way towards maybe... "set supervisor"... or "production assistant" or maybe even "2nd 2nd 3rd director" before tackling "Series Executive Producer."

Fuller also clearly has an agenda and has made it very clear he plans to go out of his way to cast characters based on race, or sexual preferences. Every Star Trek has been diverse when it comes to gender and race. This is not something new.
If that's true and it's not a big deal... why all the bellyaching? If Trek's diversity is a well-established fact for you, then you shouldn't care that diversity is a factor in casting for Fuller because it's been a factor in Star Trek casting all along, and there's no reason for you to be flipping out about it like a Jim Crow segregationist who just found the wrong sort of person drinking out of his water fountain. So what gives? Either you recognize that diversity is integral to Trek or you don't. Which is it?

Discovery certainly has the worst actors of any Trek series. i dunno who they'll hire but i'm positive they will be like the worst ever.

I don't know.. maybe he wasn't interested.... but I think Rick Berman would've been a good choice for showrunner.

If the test footage was like the USS-Enterprise F or something like that then I'd be SUPER PUMPED

But because it wasn't the Enterprise-F, you felt the need to make a topic about how butthurt you are and that you think the new show is going to suck based on a 30 second trailer that showed a ship you know nothing about. Yeah, you have a real future in executive producing new Trek shows.

If it's a prequel it's a mistake. End of story.

I never set out to be an EP.. just saying I'd be a better one

It must be wonderful to have the clairvoyance to know how good or bad an entire series will be months before the first episode has even been shown.

You know... There are those who want to be negative about everything we hear about this show. It'll have gays... Boo. The ship is ugly... Boo. It may be a prequel... Boo. BOO BOO BOO...!

Personally, I get that Picard-from-end-of-pilot smile on my face every time I think about the fact that... Guys... For the first time in a decade. We got Star Trek back on TV. This is... Exciting. Enterprise's cancellation was like a funeral. This is like a new baby being born. The real next generation. A renaissance. There are so many possibilities, and you know what? What's really great? It's not just new faces and fresh talent on this show. We have a few of the old guard there. It'll still be Star Trek in the ways that really matter. So let's just... Wait and, see what's out there...!
