I'm sure you were equally outraged during the Bush Administration email scandal where they deleted millions of emails from their private servers, right?

And when there were twenty US embassy, consulate, and diplomatic attacks with 87 deaths (66 of embassy personnel) during the Bush administration, you mourned all those lost equally and demanded that the Bush administration be held responsible, right?

I never professed to be "outraged," and Bush is not running for office. Also, while the implications are not good, Bush does not appear to be directly involved as Hillary was, and I don't know that Hillary's circumstances are congruent with the circumstances in the links you posted.

Nice deflection once again. It's clear you are in DNC mode.

I could care less what happened all that time ago, but your "leader" certainly should have learned from others' mistakes, correct?

You say "once again" as if I have deflected something before or am doing so now. Which of your non-evidence based arguments do you feel (because it's all about feelings, not facts) I have not rebutted to your satisfaction? Because I've laid out a pretty extensive number of facts and articles to support my argument, and you have given me little in return besides angry, thoughtless rhetoric.

The point in bringing up the Bush Administration's record on private email servers and consulate security is not to criticize the Bush Administration's past actions (that's another topic altogether) but rather to criticize the current selective memory, outrage, and hyperbole of Republicans on the matter. Yes, the private email server and deletion situation is bad and not something anyone in higher government, regardless of party affiliation, should do, but we've established when this happened before that we don't jail people over it or remove or disqualify them from elected office, so all the calls for Hillary Clinton to go to prison or pull out the race that dominated the RNC are bullshit.

The reason for raising the consulate security issue is simply to point out that it's a sad but inevitable fact that working in overseas embassies and consulates is a dangerous job. The pursuit of peaceful relations unfortunately often comes at a high price, and it's one State Department officials and their security personnel bravely choose to accept. Instead of exploiting their deaths to score cheap political points while ignoring countless similar incidents that have come before, Republicans should be working with their Democratic counterparts to see how they can improve diplomatic security. There's no smoking gun behind Benghazi. The Republican's own repeated investigations have found no evidence of criminal negligence. If you want to do something productive to improve consulate security by studying the incident, by all means. But using it as a political witchhunt against Hillary Clinton is disgraceful.

Bush was a piece of shit. Now that that's out of the way....

Bush's "email contraversy" was over the firing of employees whereas Hillary's lost emails concern national security. Plus I don't remember Bush claiming the loss of an embassy over a video and pushing that lie to fallen families. What Hillary did was absolutely disgraceful and she has no business occupying the oval office.

So don't vote for Hillary. I'm not trying to convince anyone in the Republican Candidate thread to vote for Hillary, because that would be a waste of time. I'm just trying to convince them not to vote for Trump because he would be a disaster for this country economically and diplomatically. I think (and hope) you would agree with that, because despite our political disagreements, you're more thoughtful on these matters than most.

Trump is dangerous, and if you're really concerned about national security, you should be concerned about the guy who colludes with the Russian government and weakens our position with a hostile nation for personal gain. If Obama was pulling shit like telling the Russians to hack email servers in order to interfere with the US electoral process Republicans would be calling for his head. Hell, they think Obama gives aid and comfort to the enemy if he bows too low or shakes someone's hand.

Trump talks about bringing the political establishment down and rebuilding it completely, yet he is establishment himself because he does not value all people but only those who are white privileged in their mannerisms of handing out rights to those who Trump would select as having rights handed out to. Trump has continually attacked women, those with disabilities, Mexicans and Muslims. Most recently he has asked Russia to hack Clinton to gain valuable inside information to use against her.

Trump would do the same thing to American's as whole, hacking into their private lives and handing to Trumps loyal puppets who do not have any education what people are doing to make the puppets of Trump and Trump feel as if they are all knowing but are nothing more than puppets in a delusional string show.

I think the only logical choice is Hillary. She as well as Obama has done more to bring the establishment down and rebuild it based on factor of representation of equality in that because Obama is black and Clinton a woman that the old establishment that Trump has vowed to bring down and rebuild has in fact been in the process of being brought down the last eight years under Obama while at the same time being rebuilt. Clinton will also continue to bring down the old political establishment and rebuild it as well with her presidency as will the future presidents after Clinton who value people more than their own spotlight on the viewer.

Bringing the old political establishment down and rebuilding it so that all people will have a representative voice so that the Establishment will be how it was originally intended to be, For All People, By All People and not For One People, By One People.

Trump's latest message - When I am President, I will work to ensure that all of our kids are treated equally, and protected equally. -DJT

Where was Trump after the Columbine Shootings the recent shootings and other school related incidents that have cost innocent children their lives at elementary schools to colleges across America?

Trump has only recently begun caring about such issues when he has numerous years to bring his concerns before America but he has not. He only brings his concerns before America when it is convenient for his own presumptions of grandeur and presidential bidding's to appease his own temper tantrums....Trump is a child....I suggest we treat as him as such.

Pure logic.

Ted Cruz showing his true colors last night... what a punk... I'm glad they boo'd him off the stage.
I'm glad he stood up for his wife and his father. That speaks volumes to me. He might not be presidential material, but darn it, that makes him a good man.

The NSA is already "hacking" into our private lives. That is not going to change regardless of which one we get.

I use to think Trump was in the presidential race because of his ego, but I don't believe that anymore. I believe he truly believes he is the man to fix the economy and put America on a better path. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, but I believe he believes it. As a man with billions invested in the U.S. economy, he has a lot to lose if our economy collapses under the national debt. He wouldn't be taking on the responsibility unless he believed it was necessary and believed he could pull it off.

@fonzob1; just another example then of the adage "When they are poor they are crazy, when they are rich they are eccentric"...
And yes, i do wonder about Trumps mental state right now...

I think he believes more in himself than he does the country, to be honest. One has to ask, if he loves America so much, then why does he hate so many minority groups? Does he hate culture as well? Because it sure seems to me he hates everything the country stands for. And does he not realize that the city he built up his wealth on was first founded by Dutch immigrants? How's that for irony?

I don't know if hatred is the right word. He clearly distrusts Muslims though. He distrusts people who migrate illegally into the country. He has said things that would indicate he lacks respect for women, but at the same time he has put women in positions of power within his businesses. Who am I missing?

Just because a man talks loudly and confidently doesn't mean he knows what he's talking about. Trump is a gifted amateur but he has not demonstrated any real understanding of how politics, policies or economics actually work.

Of course. Trump hasn't been tested yet. Hillary has been tested.

Since the primaries are over and you started a new political thread for the general election, this one is redundant, so I'm going to close it down.
