So can we assume that at the end of the episode that the only Thralls left were Gault and the two women? Since Kirk apparently killed the three men. Not much to try to build a society from.
And the system with the automatic communications/astrogation station is literally in the neighborhood of Triskelion's system. Being only 11 lightyears away. It should have been surveyed and explored a long time ago.

An outstanding entry, for the 1st Season of TNG! Most enjoyable ... and quite satisfying.

TNG: "Family" on the UK SyFy channel. I'd forgotten how lovely this episode is. Everyone taking some time out after the trauma of "The Best of Both Worlds". I can't believe Worf's parents haven't appeared since then - they are adorable! And the Picard brothers' mud fight was hopeless (but in a good way like Mark Darcy's and Daniel Cleaver's 'fight' in Bridget Jones' Diary)!
