Ash vs Evil Dead (new tv series)

The price tag was still on the suit

Yeah the chainsaw wasn't even moving, they just added the sound effect, the sandwich looks like it was already cut up a bit, he just smashed away at it.

So the legal issues were just fan speculation?

There's probably some stupid rule about waving around moving chainsaws on live TV. I just hope they covered up the pointy parts. If Ash puts an eye out, the fun's over.

Even the movie/series chainsaws are electric props. They pretty much never use a real one, those things are terribly unrealiable, and I've seen reality shows where things have gone wrong with them and....yikes, ther's no such thing as a clean cut with those.

There must be more to it. I posted this earlier in the thread, with Bruce explaining the legal issues.

It seems odd that they would change S-Mart to Value Stop, for example, to avoid alienating new viewers.

Maybe things changed during production? Bruce mentions that there were two issues, can you do it and do you want to share to do it. Perhaps they reached an agreement on the latter?

If you can't get to San Diego... they explain some of the legal issues.

^ Hmm, that's still not completely clear. I'm just guessing but I'm thinking they can vaguely reference what happens in Army of Darkness but perhaps not specifics. So maybe that he went back in time and what not but maybe not Sheila, Bad Ash, S-Mart and so on?

This is Evil Dead. Who wants a clean cut? :rommie:

He should be able to pick up Lucy one handed. As long as it's the bionic hand.

Here's their SDCC panel... and I think its cute that Lee made sure to pull out Lucy's chair.

He's a gentleman, all right. That's a great introduction. It's nice to see him getting the appreciation he deserves.

The AvED crew really made that interviewer work to pull answers out of them, at least at the start. Work on your questions next time, guy!

Love Bruce paying out for compliments. Plus, that Jacksonville comment, lol.

It's been great hearing people talk about how making shows for Netflix and Starz gives them so much freedom to produce TV shows in the way they want. Maybe it won't last forever but these new alternative outlets needing content have been making fertile ground for great stuff.

Yeah, I'm surprised the Watchdogs of Public Morality haven't been going after them more enthusiastically.
