Seems like he was perfectly calm and playfully responding to the previous post made by you. I only mention it because someone notified on his post and cast his remark as an out-of-the-blue insult, which is rather disingenuous given the context.
That being said, Guy, it would probably be best to dial your schtick down from eleven when dealing with a tension-filled discussion. Not everyone gets it or has experienced your humor before.
If you feel the integration of LGBTQIA characters into fictional media to better reflect the real world is "forced", that says more about your feelings about that community than your misguided overreaction to a 2 second moment in a movie.
I can't see how Sulu being gay will change his character as much as Spock and Uhura being a couple as changed their characters.
The majority of viewers aren't going to be bothered that there's a minor amount of time - possibly less than minutes - dealing with Sulu having a husband. If you're so prejudiced that you can't deal with a gay man on screen, then maybe Trek was never the right fit for you.

What sort of father volunteers to duck out on 5 years of his kid's childhood? maybe if there was a war, but Sulu is just going out there to explore and map asteroid belts.
Although Prime Demora was born later than Kelvin Demora, maybe after "both" 5 year missions, and I'm not even sure if 5 year missions are a thing in the new time line.

I have thought the same thing Guy. It is questionable at best that a parent would be away from their young child for such a long time.
Sulu full of cordrazine is in the episode City on the Edge of Forever, but he seems (verify?) to be on Enterprise winking out of existence, unprotected on the surface by the Guardian, when McCoy rewrites time.
I checked because I thought that Prime Sulu might be in the Kelvin universe, similar to how Alternate Yar carried over into the Prime Universe, and that might create shennigans.
The landing party in 2267 is protected from the changes made by Nero, but it's still nothing to be concerned about for another 5 years. If Sulu had been part of the landing party, he might have needed to be near Demora, since parental attachments are strong and resist pragmatism, if it's genetically the same daughter and not a different kid with the same name.

If they invented a phaser that made people straight, and shot Sulu with it, it's likely that Sulu will soon become divorced from his husband and poor Demora will suddenly be from a broken home.

It's open to interpretation, and was only a slight hint, but I got the impression in Generations that Hikaru and Demora weren't all that close, probably because he had spent much of her childhood and early adulthood (including the last three years when Excelsior had been on deep space assignment) out exploring the galaxy.

Maybe she was just being modest, but there was an insecure sounding drop in her tone of voice as she said it and she looked almost sad. If she honestly doesn't know if Hikaru is proud of her for following in his footsteps by joining Starfleet and helming the Enterprise, that's pretty tragic.
Not that any of this applies to nuSulu and his daughter, but just in answer to your remarks about Prime Sulu's relationship with her.

An unusual situation that it wouldn't matter which gender Hikaru was to still have the same child, is if one of his siblings died, and he inherits the child. Gay or straight that would give him the same daughter, and it would also create tension and distance.
Another hypothetical disconnect would be a do-over of John Snow. Sulu's husband explains to his beloved that sometimes he likes to have sex with women, not a lot, but sometimes, so they might as well raise the kid together that he unintentionally created during a fling he has yet to apologize for.
