By no means the worst continuity error, what about the inconsistant ability for Troi to sense emotions from Ferengi, in one episode she cannot sense them. then the next she can then in other series they cannot again.
When could she sense Ferengi? As far as I remember, they've always been pretty consistent about.By no means the worst continuity error, what about the inconsistant ability for Troi to sense emotions from Ferengi, in one episode she cannot sense them. then the next she can then in other series they cannot again.
Now the Ferengi's opinion on the value of gold, that actually does change quite a bit. Even Quark can't decide if it's valuable or worthless.
Unfortunately one of the occasions when gold is said to be worthless, it's with the implication that it has always been historically so. This is part of the backstory provided explaining the origins of latinum as the Ferengi's primary currency.Maybe the market is in flux.
I can't give you a episode name but I saw it on one of the continuity videos on youtube. She cuts a Ferengi's transmission and tells Picard that she senses much deception on his part. I think the name she used was Bok?When could she sense Ferengi? As far as I remember, they've always been pretty consistent about.

but, but, but, they were twiiiiiiinsssszzz..!!?!!,sdDmitri Valtane dying in VOY Flashback, but being shown alive and well at the end of TUC.
Maybe Troi sensed deception from the Ferengi by 1) reading their body language, general attitude, facial expressions, etc. or, 2) realizing that deception is a way of life for all Ferengi

It sounds as if you're straining very hard to come up with reasons to show that Vulcans have love and sex in the same way humans do. To do it, you have to dismantle the episodes and sort of turn them inside out. Why bother? Just go with it.In 'Naked Time' was Spock still engaged to T'Pring? If so, then of course he would turn down Christine perhaps he was never attracted to her anyway. If you don't want someone then regardless of the situation you cannot give them what they want. However with Leila there was some latent attraction in the first place. Consider even when Spock was divorced he never went after Chapel because he never wanted her.
If Vulcans were naturally violent before Surak their biology won't change just because they have a philosophical/religious conversion. Consider the popularity of Christianity in Western Europe may have had a civilizing influence over the milennia on certain practices but human nature has remained pretty much the same for the last 2000 years.
Romulans are just Vulcans without Surak.
They had trouble writing for Troi- most of the time they had to find a way to get her perceptions nullified so they could advance the plot.
IIRC there was a novel where it was explained that the Ferengi considered Gold Pressed Latinum to be their currency because it was one of the only things which could not be replicated- something to do with it's very unusual structure.
For a technological society where you can create anything from energy I can see the advantage to having a currency which could not be rezed up on demand.
What I don't remember is whether or not it could be moved by transporter which should have had the same issues.
Flashback isn't consistent with TUC at all. In Flashback, Tuvok says Kirk and McCoy were arrested by the Klingons days after Praxis, when in the movie it was months.Dmitri Valtane dying in VOY Flashback, but being shown alive and well at the end of TUC.

"Flashback" can be explained away by a very simple method: Tuvok's memory wasn't quite perfect.

BTW, spell checker weirdness. Tuvok gets flagged as misspelled, but Praxis doesn't.
Because praxis is a word. Unless you are saying tuvok is also a word?BTW, spell checker weirdness. Tuvok gets flagged as misspelled, but Praxis doesn't.
What about T'Pol? That never gets flagged and I'm pretty sure that isn't a word outside of Star Trek.Because praxis is a word. Unless you are saying tuvok is also a word?
