We only get a brief glimpse of the real Mandarin in a short story, he's still out there and his abilities are unknown. He might literally have ten powerful rings.

Black Panthers ring seemed to thrum with some kind of energy when he put it on in Civil War, Dr. Strange wears enchanted ones? so they do exist.

I think the sound effect was to indicate that the ring is made of vibranium, which, after all, is the basis of Wakanda's technology and wealth. Note that Cap's vibranium-alloy shield also has a distinctive sound effect.

Yes, I know, but I guess what I was thinking (and it's just my speculation, this is the thread for that, right?) is that after Infinity War, if they did want to do something further with the Mandarin they might think the multi-colored-gems-worn-on-the-hands-yeilding-different-powers thing a little too similar to the Infinity Gauntlets/Stones, so perhaps they might choose to draw a direct connection there, such as the Mandarin's being fashioned from tiny shards of the Stones that fell between worlds during one of the Convergences, and discovered/utilized/idolized/passed down by those who would become the Ten Rings...or something like that, hypothetically. Really, I just thought it could be interesting to tie these things together in some manner, either subtle or overt, due to the visual similarities.

Oh, and it's too early to tell, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Panther's ring may have something to do with the Vibranium/Anti-Metal reaction from the comics. I expect we'll find out more about it in his upcoming solo film.

x-men has a lot of classic stories to tell. I will like fox to give the franchise a rest after apocalypse and make a new film in the next 4 years. regardless of who is cast in the role the actors will always do well because x-men is usually heavier in plot . it is not like the mcu disney movies were RDJ plays himself.
RDJ plays Tony Stark ya buffon

I think he was being sarcastic about RDJ's version of Tony Stark being very similar to what he is like in real life.

did you just call me a buffon? rdj plays himself to me. his tony stark is neither gripping or complex. he is just a loud mouth with cheesy one liners.

Yeah...... I'm someone with anxiety issues and OCD, triggered by irrational fears which are induced by traumatic events. I can tell you one thing.... Tony's behaviour in Iron Man 3, Avengers 2 and Civil War is pretty spot on. His character is a lot more complex than most people realize.

OK so I am still in the middle of my MCU re-watch pre civil war (at this rate I may end up having to wait for the Blue-ray) I have a quick question about the post credits scene in Dark world, they give a collector one of the infinity stones as they say its safer to not have 2 in the same place is the second stone they are on about the teserract? and if so where did the one lady sif hands over come from?

Sorry if these are stupid questions I do tend to miss some details at times and don't have any of the knowledge from the comic book world either.

The stone Sif hands over is the Aether, the one that had been featured in that same movie.

The Aethir from Dark World was a manifestation of one of the infinity stones. Think of it this way:
T - Tesseract (Space stone)
H -
A - Aethir (Reality stone)
N -
O - Orb (Power stone)
S - Scepter (Mind stone)

Ok this makes sense, since I have only seen the phase 2 films once before my re-run I have stupid questions and cannot always remember what happened in all the films :) I actually had to look up loki's scepter as I could not remember why they did not have it already (I know it appears in AoU so I should get my answer from that I think). I have never seen Guardians but I know from when I asked about gaurdians and watching order that guardians has something to do with a infinity stone so I would guess that;s the orb one then.

I suppose N would be necklace, Dr. Strange's odd medallion like thing that seems to be holding the (Green) Soul Stone.

Leaves "H" for the (Orange) Time Stone.

What have we seen prominently beginning with H...

i think the H stands for helmet, and the stone will be mounted in someone's helmet. There will be plenty of helmets in Thor Ragnarok i imagine, so perhaps in that movie.

Does the Grandmaster wear a helmet?

Doesn't that necklace already have a name? The "Eye of Agamotto" IIRC?

I'd be surprised if Ragnarok features the last Infinity stone. I'm guessing it won't show up until Infinity War, or maybe even Captain Marvel,

Maybe Thanos already has the last two, he actually gave one away to Loki, I doubt he's too worried about getting that back.

The Soul Stone is set to appear in Dr. Strange. The only remaining one is the Time Stone, which given it's power, kind of has to appear last. Probably in Infinity Wars Part 1.

The Tesseract is still on Asgard, if Heimdall is affected or incapacitated in Thor 3, someone could steal it to set off an apocalypse. Loki could be determining how to grab it and use it for himself to defend against Thanos.

Where did you read that the Soul Stone is confirmed for Doctor Strange, @Chemahkuu? I remember seeing a snippet from an interview from Feige that suggests maybe the Eye of Agamotto could be the Time Stone, but I haven't seen anything about the Soul Stone yet.

Here's what I don't understand: they bring the Collector the Power Stone in Guardians of the Galaxy. If you shouldn't have two infinity stones in the same place, why does the Collector allow the Aether and the Power Stone to be in the same place? Or should we assume he shipped the Aether someplace else when he knew another Infinity Stone was coming?
