STC: To Boldly Indiegogo

Maybe this last-minute crush is the result of people waiting for another shoe to drop after Horizon. Sort of a "welllllllll.......... ok" effect.

Is it allowed for one of you to describe what was in the trailer? I find it generous of Vic to share what the backers are donating.
I can tell you that something in the trailer was hinted at in some of the episode stills released earlier. Early on I had an idea from looking at the stills and it was affirmed in the teaser trailer. If you go back and look at those stills again you might pick up on the same idea I had.

The teaser also has something somewhat evocative of something seen in an earlier TOS episode. At least I got that from it.

They should at least be able to make two episodes and finish Winds. Excellent.
Well we know Ep. 6 ("Come Not Between The Dragons") is in the can and principal photography is supposedly done on Ep. 7 ("Embrace The Winds") with post-production left to be completed. We should get another episode after that (Ep. 8) and maybe one more after that (Ep. 9). If they can stretch their funds that far then that would leave them four episodes left (10-13) to finish their run.

You have to admire their planning to have scripts ready to allow them to shoot the principle photography for two episodes back-to-back.

Admiral,
My admiration for Star Trek Continues grew by Warp 9 this week when I realized what was really going on with the speculation coming from a different fan film's core producers. That speculation was wrong and mean spirited towards Vic Mignogna and the entire STC crew.
In response, I have posted a commentary on the situation and have demanded an apology from the moderator of the thread involving the discussion on CBS v. Axanar.
I no longer support Star Trek New Voyages, Star Trek Phase Two, or any related derivative or associated productions.
Sad, but if they can not treat people with respect, they are done in my book and in my family.

At least I hope they can squeeze two episodes out of what they raised. Some more donations through the website might be needed. Guess they'll tell us the lay of the land soon.

Is this their goal? I heard they wanted to do a full season of 22? You know more than me Warped9 as I know you're an STC megafan - if it is just 13 episodes that would be very modest and rounded, Vic says he wants to do a proper Star Trek TOS series finale, which would be great

After recent events involving AP I have had my eeys opened and I feel the same. Vic and co seem to be having a genuinely good time and have a good rapport with the fans. Yes I have been a fan of P2 for years but recently they have gone downhill - very indicisive, they've scrapped whole episodes they've shot because they don't 'reach a certain standard', a bit standoffish with criticism and they take forever to get episodes done, compared with STC who handle pretty much everything with the upmost dignity.

I lke how Phase II started to move the show beyond the 60s how - updating the shiop, adding Xon, Peter, etc, making lost episodes etc but that has been scrapped I think and they have even said 'certain episodes don't count anymore'. They've been very inconsistant

Well said in your now "locked" thread.

I don't know how you'd call 200,000 dollars raised anything but a successful campaign.

Agreed especially under the current climate. The fact that they raised a large portion of it while rumors and wild speculation ran virtually unchecked should give them something to feel good about and hopeful for the future of STC.

Quite awhile ago Vic stated that their target was a thirteen episode run.

It makes sense because producing twenty-two episodes and releasing two a year would be a very long process. Thirteen episodes is a much more realistic target.

That's very realistic thinking. And they are VERY close to that goal!
