Long before Facebook and social funding some small studios would market their film on the Pink sheets (OTC) to raise money in order to produce their epic. It wasn't uncommon for them to pump a few minutes of trailer to get everyone excited and then dump a half of billion shares onto the market, close up shop. Months latter the stock would do a huge reverse split, change their name, bring on a new CEO with the next greatest thing.
Once people became invested, it was like they caught Gold Fever waiting for the film to release and the stock to rise a hundred fold but that was a hundred in one shot. In truth, I see Alex as a greater promoter than producer.

This is the best definition of 'earned' I think I have ever heard. As much as he has benefited collectors or whatever else he has done for anyone which is not known, he has also persisted without limit to abuse anyone in his way. He has truly earned a dressing down.

Interesting because I think if you read this thread in it's entirety - the majority of comments ARE discussing and analyzing the posts and blogs and other public statements Alec Peters (as well as the public briefs filed by Axanar's attorneys) and other members of the Axanar production team have made since the suit was filed.
Many have also made fun of some of the more ridiculous and outright asinine comments Mr. Peters has made. The ratio of people just piling on Alec Peters because they simply dislike Alec Peters is still rather small here - but as always people will read what they want to read into a post.
That's what I am thinking might happen (otherwise, why have a second law firm?).

Well remember Tony Todd signed on because the Director of "Prelude to Axanar"( Christian Gossett) who left the Axanar feature film production soon after Prelude was released; was a friend of Tony Todd's; and Tony wanted to work with him. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it WASN'T Alec Peters who got many of these actors to commit to Prelude to Axanar; and after all this, I'd be interested to hear how many of those who 'starred' in Prelude to Axanar are still actually interested in coming back should the production ever resume in some form.
Given how Mr. Peters never really let donors know Tony Todd had left the project until Mr. Todd had tweeted that fact; and then afterwards how Mr. Peters claimed it was over Tony Todd's fee (which really is the pot calling the kettle black IMO - as Alec Peters is the first Fan Film producer to ever take a salary for his production work and treat this 'fan project' as his full time job); I would be surprised if he could get any other 'big name' (although let's be honest in that they are all B to C list character actors in Hollywood) Prelude actor besides Gary Graham and or Richard Hatch (who for all intents and purposes made a Battlestar Galactica1978 fan film as a 'proof of concept') to return.

Yep, it's a possibility - not just in the pro bono realm, but there are plenty of firms which are really more appeals specialists.
