I just want this fiAxo over as soon as possible so it can stop harming other people's projects. As long as Hurricane Axanar is an active storm, there's no knowing how much destruction it will cause.

It is possible (I am not privy to the discussions of course, so the usual caveats apply) the pro bono agreement is only to the beginning of discovery or only at the District Court level - either of which would mean W & S bows out pretty soon.
Or not, but taking on a pro bono case without some conditions and brakes on it is a recipe for a tar babyesque time sink.
PS I, too, enjoy the term fiAxo and kind of want that to be some futuristic foot cream.

This isn't some Roddenberryesque sans-drama filled world where there is zero conflict and people don't attack anyone. Hell...search for "Abrams" or "Berman". People get attacked all the damned time.

Yes, I have also written some posts pointing out that while attacking members is not okay, anyone who is not a member is fair game. So what non-members need to do to prevent ad hominems is just become a member here as immunization - with the exception of Mr. Peters who is fair game whether he is a member or not. And attacking the post is just a proxy for attacking the person anyway - people know how to play the game to survive moderation. It's a dumb rule. Apply it to all people - member or not - or not at all.

At $5,870.73 per released minute it is the MOST expensive fan film ever made....
Which is shocking when you consider a Mockumentry style film, where all your actors are simply delivering monologues in front of green screens has to be one of the least expensive ways to tell a story...

Which is nonsense. Horizon proved it can deliver a product (similarly set up, people in front of green screens, but with an actual story, not just pieces to camera) for a fraction of the cost. Axanar has only proven it can devour its customer's money faster than a Dyson in a drug den.

As much as you find it distasteful, Alec earned every bit of vitriol that comes his way.
Just to put it into perspective.. when I look at Renegades, it was $4,261.79 per minute... and Horizon was $274.50 per minute... These figures were based on Crowdfunding totals, divided by the runtime of the film on Youtube...
And understand, ALL Prelude demonstrated, was that Peters could deliver on a technical end... and that is it. Every bit of dialogue in Prelude was a monologue, with the majority being delivered to a documentary crew, (Ramierez's was the only par that was legitimately acting a scene) . There was no interaction between characters... there was no blocking needed... no camera movements... there were no camera angle edits...
The story was told with a narrator, which is the EASIEST way to forward a story....
While Prelude was good for what it was, Nothing about Prelude really says Axanar would be good... other from a very technical end (CGI, Color Matching, Lighting)
