And I am sorry to say that's worth a warning for trolling

*shrugs*

Rather bemusing, to say the least, but I'll save that for the PM you just sent me

Did anyone happen to notice if the Empire's pilots had their breathing hoses attached to the helmets/suits?

So far the only Star Wars TV project was the live-action series talked about before George Lucas made the sale to Disney. Rogue One isn't that but I suspect there may be a SW Netflix series or something of the like before the end of the decade; depends on how the new trilogy goes, I suppose.

I would love to see Star Wars go through what is happening with Marvel. Maybe it's already started with Clone Wars and Rebels (I probably should see them, I know Clone Wars is on Netflix) but having this expanded universe in the Star Wars franchise where you have the "episode" movies being like the Avengers and then you have other movies featuring the other aspects of the universe. One of the things that got me when I was watching this trailer was there really isn't much "Star Wars" in the "Star Wars" movies. What I mean is it's really an individual journey of Luke, Ray, Anikin, but we don't really see the war and the toll that it takes. We have a bit of an idea with the Death Star and when Alderaan was destroyed it got personal with Leia, but beyond that it's really about becoming a Jedi and the training that takes.

When I saw this trailer the first thing I thought was we might actually get to put "Wars" in Star Wars. Maybe I'm looking at this from a DS9 perspective, but one of the things I liked about the Dominion War was we got to see how brutal that war was from all sides. I know Star Wars will never be dark as the Dominion War and I'm not asking for a saving private ryan movie, but a movie that really delves into what this war means, the strategic planning on both sides, stuff like that. That's why I'm excited for this and wanted to know more about it. Maybe I'm overrating it, but this movie and this anthology series might do more for Star Wars for the casual fans than what we got in The Force Awakens. That can only be a good thing.

A lot of people have said that, but if the attack on the beach or desert with the AT-ATs is part of that sequence, then it can't be, since the Death Star doesn't have sand and trees inside.

IT'S A HALO!!!

How sad is it that the main thing I noticed about this trailer if that they went with the ANH version of the Star Destroyer rather than the arguably more recognisable ESB one? ;)

The old style con tower and whiter hull, it does stand out these days.

As we know, some "Block Ones" were refitted into "Block Twos" when they built the upgraded SDs...

Just for arguments sake, can somebody post a side by side indicating this Bridge thing? Can't say I have noticed it before

According to Wookieepedia that thing on the tower between the sensor domes is a tractor beam targeting array.

Ah... I was looking for something bigger. You have to admit that, although its a model change in the real world, in terms of story telling it shows subtle design changes and upgrades. Do we ever see Block One and Block Two ships together at Endor? (on screen)

as far as I can remember, they Imp-Is only showed up in A New Hope.

Which would lend credence to what i and some other fans think in that most of the Block Ones were retired with a few being upgraded to join the new Block Two fleet. Incidentally, we know that upgraded Block Ones are canon in ESB and RotJ as at least one is flying CE for the Executor

Yes, I know they have different true names, but i can't help but use my own designators for them due to my semi-naval upbringing.

That is from the legends info, which isn't canon.

Also tip, don't link images from wikia sites, their anti-hotlinking shrinks them.

I didn't... I merely copy and pasted - Besides, I have it on good authority that image CAN be considered canon

Huh, I thought that was an Imp-II, but it has the larger port/starboard cannons of the Imp-I

The Image URL if I quote your post is from the wiki.

The image is canon, yes. But the written fact that it is refit from the Imp-I is not canon, it comes from legend sources.

We can only speculate it is a refit based on how it looks.

The Imperial Mk Is have been in Star Wars: Rebels the whole time. Not a single Imperial Mk II has shown up in that yet, but that is set even earlier than Rogue One.

This is basically what the director and the writer of this movie were going for. Putting the "wars" in Star Wars. They said as much as Celebration last year.
