DC Comics - Ongoing Discussion - SPOILERS

The girl is Power Ring. The Crime Syndicate's Mirror Universe Green Lantern.

It's a demon in a magic ring, who's magic looks like Green Latern tech.

Hal Jordan is treating her like a hero, and not a time bomb liability who is going to ##### them in the ass the mo.. Oh, wait, that happened last month. Never mind.

Of course maybe the demon ring is gone and she has a regular green lantern Ring now?

Which would be a shame because I was really looking forward to more being done with her story.

They fixed Superman's collar, thank God.

boots and wrists next.

Then let the poor boy wear some jockeys over his trousers like a normal superhero please.

Oh thank god, Superman lost that awful high collar. I couldn't stand that.

Still missing the outside underwear trunks, though.

EDIT: Damn, Guy, you read my mind!

Well, we got the yellow \S/ back on the cape. And the S-shaped spit curl.

Also, Geoff Johns said at WonderCon, speaking about "Action Comics", that that would be the Superman and Lois Lane from the current "Superman: Lois & Clark" series. I love that!

Looks like Superwoman is the current Supergirl??? :wtf: Or at least the costume is similar.
I like new look of the "new" Supergirl. Taking some cues from the TV show.
Titans looks good, as I like the classic team and the current Titan's Hunt mini.
Superman books are intriguing. I dont think the pre-Flashpoint Superman is coming back as a headliner. In fact he might be kicking the bucket. Lois and Jon look a bit lost and out of sorts on one cover.
The Batbooks are in good hands. Like Snyder and his successors.
Rucka on Wonder Woman. I'm there.

They announced she'd be a new character.

Agreed.

The article on CBR says on "Action Comics":

"Lex Luthor does become 'a' Superman soon," Johns confirmed. It'll star the Superman and Lois from the current "Superman: Lois & Clark" series. "Lex is trying to put all the pieces together," Jurgens said, as to why a new Lois and Clark arrive in Metropolis.

Rucka on Wonder Woman. I'm there.

Amen.

Just read the CBR article. So yeah I was wrong. I guess we might have four Supermen?

Four?! I count pre-Flashpoint Superman in Action, New52-Superman in Superman (although that has not been confirmed, it could actually be this Superman who kicks the bucket), and Kenji Kong in New Superman. Which one am I forgetting?

SuperLex.

Ah. Well, the Action cover shows pre-Flashpoint-Superman and Lex-Superman fighting, so I'm not sure whether SuperLex will last that long. Also, SuperLex is wearing armor. Does he actually have the powers, or is he just wearing a Kryptonian Warsuit?

By the way, I just noticed that pre-Flashpoint Superman on the Action cover is wearing the same costume as the one from the Jim Lee announcement piece, so it looks like pre-Flashpoint Superman will indeed be the main Superman.

So from a close up of the Detective Comics preview image, Tim Drake is going back to something like his 90s Robin look whil still using the Red Robin name judging by the extra R.

They teased a possible big death in Rebirth. Maybe the New 52 Superman is kicking it, possibly choked by that stupid collar.

Wow. If they actually do kill the New-52-Supe and replace him with the old one, that would be a HUGE admission of an error on their part. I would be shocked but pleased. Aside from Morrison's run I've never been happy with this version.

I think the most telling clue is that the BVS movie showed
Clark and Lois about to get married and no romantic interest between WW and Clark. Where goes the movies, so goes the comics.

New-52 is young, rebellious, cocky, anti-authority...
My Superman is a seasoned veteran, wise and considered, polite and positive, and an inspiration to an entire generation of superheroes and the world. People don't hate and fear him unless they're villains.

Grant Morrison wrote a young cocky Superman.

No one else has.

There was a 5 year time Jump between JLA #6 and everything else.

He's old again.
