‘Superman & Batman’ movie will follow ‘Man of Steel’

He looks ill in that picture.
It's hard to believe Stan Lee is 93, he definitely doesn't act like it.

Don't know if this has been mentioned - it looks like the musical soundtrack is already online!

I think that at the time B:TAS was on the air, the Joker in the comics had already been darker for some years.

Kor

IMO, Dennis O'Neil's Joker was pretty scary back in the early seventies. Anything that followed really built on his portrayal of the character. By the time, BTAS was out Death in the Family and The Killing Joke had already been released which gave the The Joker some of his darkest moments in comic history.

Also, I'd point out that DC's Supergirl show is more bland, formulaic and family friendly then anything Marvel has ever done, yet people seem to like it :shifty:
I LOVED IT. Watched every episode... until Zack Snyder went public and revealed the series is on another Earth. Which means no guest appearance ever by Henry Cavill, and at that point I haven't watched it since. I simply don't care about the series anymore.

Didn't Denny simply brought back The Joker from the 40's so that Batman had to deal with?

Why would you like a show but stop watching it when one actor will never actually be in it? The show's not the greatest thing since slice bread, but it's merits don't hinge on whether Cavil will show up.

Isn't that generally the case with DC's shows? It's not like Disney-Marvel where everything is supposed to be in the same continuity.

That's weird,
It's not weird, it's a choice; the premise gave me the belief Superman would make an appearance. Also judging by her costume, I thought it was possible she would make an appearance in the films. I'm not invested in the show if there's not a connection to the films. I understand now the tv universe is not related to the movie ones, so I can watch other shows. It's not as if I'm beckoned to support Supergirl???

Yes, I got that. Is is solely because on no Cavil, or you just lost interest in the show. The latter I can understand, but the former...

Edit, nevermind, so your post above. Still makes little sense. How can you like a show but lose interest simply because one actor will never be in it. That's like enjoying Better Call Saul, but disliking it when you find Walter White will never be in it. It's still a fantastic show regardless. (I have no idea if you watch either shows, just the first example that came to mind)

Sure, that would have been great but a connection to the CW shows was much more likely than a connection to the films. Nothing in the show or the promotion for the show led me to believe it would tie into the films or Cavil or anyone from the film would appear. So, weird.

That's a bizarre example; since the show is a prequel, so the Walter White I liked would not exist yet. If the spinoff co-existed in-between Breaking Bad and it lead me to believe my Walter White aka Heizenberg could make an appearance, I would expect him to come. It would spark my interests.
Anyway it is what it is. I was lead to believe it was Cavill's world, which drew an interest. Later learned it from another universe, it's not as if I was a fan of the character. It's not as if I need to keep watching it if I'm not getting anything out of it.

Ok... the last time I saw Superman was from Man of Steel. Cavill is the new Superman. Kara in the promotions wears a similar outfit to Cavill's, not as accurate, but it's Superman-like. In the bumpers before the show starts there's a silhouette of the character offering his hand when Kara arrived on Earth. To you, there was nothing in the show or the promotion that lead you to believe a tie-in?

It's done by the same guy who does the Arrowverse shows and it was originally pitched to the CW. So if there were to be any crossover, it would almost certainly be with an Arrowverse show.

Yep. Partially because I read stuff about the show before I saw any pictures or film. Most Superhero costumes have that textured look these days, The design though is pretty much one Supergirl wore for a decade or more and closer to the "classic" Supergirl look than Cavil's is to a "classic" Superman look.

I didn't read anything about the show. So based on my knowledge, can you understand where I'm coming from? Does it make sense to you now?

Yeah, one or two other people here weren't following the production of the show and weren't familiar with the Arrowverse and thought it could cross over with Man of Steel.
