I think you may have missed the point that Havoc92 is basing his project primarily on the Franz Joseph blueprints...

And he's doing a wonderful job at it.

Don't feel bad. After spending 4k for the package, I couldn't afford the subscription plan myself. Too much going out at the time. Though I will have to see if I can add it to my license as it's been so recent a purchase.

And thank you for that last bit. I slaved away for a long time pulling my hair out on how I was going to fit that bloody telescope in and make it look stylistically proper.

LOL. Well, I haven't exactly starved; but I did lose a bit of weight. I started doing some medical stuff at about the same time I did the upgrade and it put me on a largely liquid diet which I'm still on. Not to worry, nothing incredibly major or worrisome. Just annoying. ;)

Thanks for the commentary. This is based on the Franz Joseph prints largely. However... There is another hull waiting in
the wings. I think it says Matt Jeffries/Doug Drexler on it.

Work has begun on Deck 4 finally. Ran into issues after importing into 2016. Had to reset xforms and
flip a lot of normals in order to straighten out the meshes; but, a couple of days of chasing that stuff and
we're on again. You can see the conference table temporarily sitting out of place. I dragged it in to
inspire a bit. There is a lot of work to do here for the moment, cutting the walls, expanding their girth,
putting in the removable panels, etc. Largely this is an issue only in the corridor. However, this has
to be done first in order to re-position the doors and ensure we have at least 32 inch clearances on the
width of each door. I'd like to have 40" but I'm not sure if the geometry is going to allow that yet.

The points on that crescent-shaped corridor look lethal!
I wonder why FJ didn't just make the corridor straight, in line with the briefing room?

Great to have you back Havoc, BTW

Yeah, I did those to plan; but, doubt that's what the plan intended. So they're gonna get rounded off lol.

Spent last night and a good part of this morning trying to get these bloody pylons created. Still not
thoroughly happy with them; but, for now they'll have to do.

Depending on which plan you are using, the crescent can be more pointy or less:

Even the turbolift doors are pointy on the FASA ship, eeek!

It does appear that FJ took that into account in this area, to some degree.

Has anyone asked about 3D printing parts of this?

Really loving the multi-source lighting in these renders. Looks so much like the filmed set, albeit a little on the yellowish-green side. Move it into the cooler blue colors and I think you have it.

Closing in on finishing the conference room area. Lots of cleanup still needed when it's done; but, gettin there.
