STC Episode 6 (news and speculation)....

Gigi Edgley has some borderline spoilery pics on her FB page. Can't really tell what's going on but it appears to be trouble.

Chris Doohan enters his office for the first time .

Notice how I had the engine room sound playing, lol. I had a sub-woofer in the core which honestly was pretty cool and pretty effective.

Was that what the electric cord was connected to? Or is that where the M-5 was plugged in?

The cord was for the work light. There are wall outlets in the warp core. (The subwoofer was in there, too.)

STC has announced on their FB page that a rough cut of Ep. 6 is complete and they are now in post production and scoring.

Not a peep regarding Axanar's woes.

Smartest thing they could do.
Agreed. It's possible STC fans might be posting remarks and questions (regarding how this might affect STC), but maybe they're being deleted (assuming such remarks are being posted in the first place).

The mood continues to be upbeat on the STC FB page in terms of everyone looking forward to the release of Eps. 6 and 7 in 2016. The mention of the CBS lawsuit has popped up occasionaly, but only in terms of posters hoping it doesn't happen to STC. Beyond that there is no comment whatsoever.

Certainly no word whatsoever that STC has been in contact with CBS to be reassured that they're still in CBS' good graces. It all looks pretty much business as usual.

STC does not bad mouth other productions. Even after taking hits themselves occasionally. They just posted on their FB page that the Planet Set is under construction. So it seems for the time being it's business as usual.

Sweet! :techman:

I've never seen STC badmouth another production by name, but the way they separate themselves from the field is implicitly disparaging of all the other productions.

STC just posted this video on their Facebook page, with some indirect references to the current Anaxar shenanigans: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4a2M6ITza-HSUFPR1lfZmFTLW05V2dETjBDYzJyZE02bGFN/view
I don't necessarily see it as such, but even if it is a very passive, vague allusion to the whole Axanar debacle, he's still very correct. Star Trek isn't theirs, but it does show that they are privileged to do what they do. I happen to love what they do, and cannot agree more with Vic on this one.

How so? By not doing the thing they are actually doing the thing? I don't understand that logic.

Look, I've got huge questions and reservations about STC these days, particularly since they signed on with Marc Cushman, but even more so now that there's this possible plagiarism of the central story from "Lolani," but one thing I've never seen done is any kind of written or online attacks against any of the other productions. I just don't see how that makes Vic or STC the "bad guys" or "implicitly disparaging" other productions.

Ehhh... what? Plagiarism? Where did you see/hear this?
