Starship Farragut

The problem is that there are already two separate threads for both the upcoming episodes where you can do exactly that. Why create a third?

Actually the purpose of this tread is just to draw some attention to Starship Farragut. It is not spam, it is not a bot. It is simple, I post things from our Facebook page as it is updated. We are working on a new episode called Homecoming. I am just trying to draw attention and get people to check out us out.

Another reminder to please review the FAQ file. More than two posts in a row (say, for example, three) is spam by definition. By this definition, you did indeed spam the board.

I'm gonna hold your feet to the fire on this.

First, you didn't initially present yourself as part of the production, and we still have no idea who you are and what role you serve in it.

Second—as I mentioned previously—this is a discussion board, and the moderators prefer the OP (Original Poster) to present a topic for discussion in the first post, like "Starship Farragut Updates" etc.

Finally, you're not even engaged in your own topic. So far you're just dumped some really generic information, press release type text and a few photos.

All we ask is that you be part of the community and engage in a dialog as opposed to acting as a megaphone. :)

My name is Ari and I have become involved with Starship Farragut recently during production of Homecoming. I visiting the studio last December in Kingsland, Georgia and thought it would be nice to try to get involved with them. Earlier this year they were looking for a home to film some of the scenes. I volunteered the use of my home for the film shoots. They were also looking at the Pope Leighey House in Alexandrea Virginia designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. They were able to obtain permission to film at that historical location. In thanks for my generosity they invited me to join their production as an extra and to help out behind the scenes.

Since Farragut is based in a suburb of Washington D.C. it is close to me so I plan to work with them in the future.

Okay, now we're getting somewhere. Never assume malice when something can be explained by simple ignorance (note that ignorance is a lack of information, not intelligence).

Ari, can I suggest you start a new thread with the above post, and keep it to a discussion of your experiences as a new arrival to fan films. I think it might be a unique perspective. Then, ask the mods to lock down or delete this thread, since it seems to be be the source of some inflammation.

Oh, yes, and welcome to the board. Sorry you got off to a bumpy start, but we're actually a pretty nice bunch when you get to know us.

Or alternatively, we can not start a new thread but I can simply retitle the name of *this* thread to something that is more reflective of Ari's most recent post.
