Has Trek ever done anything holiday-related?

I remember that one of Alan Dean Foster's TAS adaptations featured a Christmas party, but I don't know if it was part of the episode or if Foster just added it in. I also don't know which episode it was.

But Spock declared he was allergic to nutmeg.

An odd wording given not every country celebrates Thanksgiving, and even the ones that do don't all celebrate it at the same time.

Why would any other country celebrate a US-specific holiday?

Ask Bill Pullman.

Xindi Attack Reference!!!

The Xindi were defeated on Valentine's Day.

Yes, but I was facetiously alluding to the questions that fans periodically ask regarding why there are no Xindi references in TOS.

It's worth noting, I think, that the transcript for "Zero Hour" has a starlog entry by T'Pol on February 14, 2152, but no one mentions Valentine's Day by name at all, not only in that one but also actually in any episode that I'm aware of.

It was a Valentine to the fans.

Forget Independence Day, you guys don't know Captain Lonestar from Spaceballs?! A pox! A pox upon you all!

Besides Catspaw, the only thing I could think of was VOY: The Haunting of Deck Twelve as a Halloween episode. The only problem is that it aired in May... oops. VOY had parties all the time; are we saying that there was never a Christmas party???

All of the examples thus far, with Catspaw being the only possible exception, are pretty weak. The OP was asking about holiday THEMED episodes, not just episodes where an Earth/American holiday is mentioned. To my knowledge, Catspaw might be the only one that would qualify since it aired near the holiday of which it was themed.

Which clearly makes this a Trek fail.

So that's it! In ST2017, I want to see either a Christmas tree, a Menorah, an Eid Al-Fitr sheep sacrifice, some giant chocolate eggs/ cute candy bunnies, a baby shower/birthday/bachelor/retirement party, M.L.K's "I Have a Dream" speech, or whatever the hell the French do for fun in the new Ten-Forward... IN EVERY EPISODE!

The ship's policy is to celebrate whichever holidays apply in the region of space they're visiting. This gesture toward cultural diversity and inclusion inspires tremendous cynicism among the crew: "Happy something day."

Why would any other country celebrate a US-specific holiday?

It's hardly US specific, even if the US and Canada are the ones who place the greatest importance on it. It's celebrated in seven other countries, with a variation for Judaism as well. There also two other countries which celebrate similar. Details.

Besides, Black Friday started off unique to the US and its Thanksgiving, and now it's being observed worldwide.

I've always considered "Genesis" to be TNG's Halloween episode, but I admit that's more of a personal thing than anything the episode directly references.

....though by that logic, does "Fascination" count as DS9's Valentine's Day episode? If so, amusing that it invokes the Bajoran Gratitude Festival. Two holidays for the price of one!

Canadians celebrate their Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October (as opposed to the fourth Thursday of November in the US). In "Charlie X," Kirk could not have been referring to both.

March 1988 (which would have hit newsstands around Christmas 1987), issue #2 in a 6 issue mini-series from DC for Star Trek: The Next Generation, "Spirit In The Sky!":

I think I still have that issue!

Many cultures have big, ancient, traditional celebrations that in some way involve expressing gratitude (or "giving thanks") during the harvest season. The particulars may vary, but the general idea isn't US-specific.

I can't believe this thread has gotten this far without anyone mentioning the Hallmark ornaments.

I did, but I passed my comic collection onto my daughter. (Her mother and I raised her right. ;) ) So it's still in the house for now, but technically hers.

Awesome! I like how Picard and Tasha both look so buff and muscular, while it kind of looks like the tree is holding Wesley down.
