I wasn't one of themSome WD fans were calling for Father Gabriel to be killed just because he left the gate open in the season 5 finale
He didn't know any better. This is a group of people who were inept. Judging one of them harsher than the others, who were/are just as inept is unjust. The ends does not justify the means. By that I mean what did happen is no more reason for condemnation than what could have happened at the hands of the other Alexandrians from their unpreparedness. You're blaming Aaron more, because more happened as a result, but just as much COULD have happened by the actions & inactions of the others, but didn't. They are all equally culpable for their choices. Aaron's just happened to yield more unfortunate consequences, when the others' didn't so muchThe writers/director was telegraphing causation thanks to Aaron's practice of using ASZ photos as part of the recruitment package.
But Nicholas & Aiden's transgression is comparable to Aaron's oversight, worse even, because it was a gutless act, whereas Aaron's was just stupid. We're talking about intent here. The bloody results are not the issueNicholas, Aiden (in dialogue) and the construction crew (attempting to leave Francine, as seen on screen) leaving people behind is pure guilt--but even that does not compare to what the wolves did to ASZ,

Don't turn it around. I'm not speculating about anything. I'm saying actions & inaction should not be merely judged by the result but by the intent, & Aaron was not the only one of his group who had naïve intentions, & acted stupidly. You assess his transgression as it applies to his situation. They were ALL dumb like him, & everybody knew it, but accepted them anyhowIts unjust to speculate about what could happen due to the others' ineptitude, when you had a real disaster happening because of the actions of one of the residents.
My first thought was that it was Rick saying "Don't..." As in don't approach Alexandria because of the current mess.

The fuel truck and RPGs? That's how Glenn will be rescued from wherever the hell he is.
