Where else can American Horror Story go?

I heard American Horror Story has been renewed for a sixth season. But I'm left wondering where else can the show go after Season 5 after covering many of the various aspects of the horror genre from haunted houses to vampires.

How do you envision the show's latest take on horror in its sixth season?

They could go to space, make it a sci-fi horror in the style of alien set on a space ship. The claustrophobic atmosphere would add to the horror, you can run out of the hotel for example, doesn't work that way in space.

Or it could be about the horrors of war, set it in the trenches of World War 1 with a bit of supernatural stuff thrown in.

Or an actual alien invasion with them slowly taking over, I'd make it a period piece set in the early 80s with an additional thread of the nuclear apocalypse looming.

Or a serial killer plot, they haven't done that yet as the main focus of a season, Scream Queens did but that show is much more comedic so AHS's take on it would be different.

I thinks the creators were considering an 'Area 51' thing a while back. We already had aliens in season 2, so why not. They will really show you what alien experimentation is all about!

Have they done shapeshifters yet? We've gotten witches, ghosts, and this season is vampires, so shapeshifters strike me as the one of the biggest supernatural things they haven't focused on yet.

So far every season is either set in the present or in the 20th century. I'd like to see them do something set farther in the past say in the Old West or even earlier in American history.
