I was 9 when it came out in the UK, and 13 I think when our physics teacher showed it to the class before the summer holidays one year.

Been watching them ever since and using AoD to try and get others to watch them too.

I think AOD is the most accessible of all the films. I didn't really like the second. It isn't scary but I don't enjoy jumping out of my skin every five seconds. The first one isn't something I'd watch.

Judging by the trailer, I think the show will be most like the third.

The fact that his eye level view of the Warrior Princess was difficult to ignore probably didn't help at all.

I remember the first time I faced down Mulgrew at a Star Trek con back in 2001. She was up on stage while I was 30 feet away and I still felt like I was blathering when my turn came to question the icon.

I wonder why the episodes are only 30 minutes long? That's so short.

Because Ash doesn't need a lot of time for introspection.

IIRC, they wanted lots of action, lots of snark and not much else.

Also... recall that an hour long show on network TV is only about 42 minutes long, so a 30 min show on Starz (no commercials) isn't really that short.
