The Original Crew - What became of them?

Since everyone's pattern was recorded via the transporter, can't they in theory be "cloned". Even if they need some dnA, I'm sure they could come up with something. So everyone is still around.

I'm being mostly facetious but this is sci-fi after all.

Sounds good to me:lol:

No, because transporters cannot store patterns at the quantum level resolution needed for live subject transport.

Cyrano Jones manages to hybridize the remaining tribbles on K-7 and opens a successful franchise operation called Galactic Hair Club for Men. A drawback: if you overfeed your hair, it turns into a mullet.

I actually thought he'd open a Kentucky Fried Tribble franchise.

Tribbles are very versatile. Jones' TribbleCorp is the largest conglomerate in the Federation with hundreds of Tribble based businesses.

What about M'Ress?

I know the "serious" answer involves Arex and her getting projected into the 24th century in a couple of Peter David's novels, but I'd like to read some of the funny/snarky ideas.

Sincerely,

Bill

Stuck on Earth, so she had to become a prostitute. I imagine there are still "Furries" in the 23rd century.

I thought she became the new mascot for - (She was "purrr-fect in the role)

M'Ress won the Cat Fanciers' Association Cat Show. She now has lots of sponsors from various cat groomers and food companies and is the second highest paid feline on Earth.

Re: Kirk's crew - What happened to them?

Kirk - buried under a pile of rocks on Veridian III with only his Starfleet badge to mark his grave.

According to the comics, Spock came back and retrieved the body to make sure it got a proper burial. In the books, apparently, Kirk was cloned by the Romulans and eventually returned to Starfleet?

Spock: trapped in an alternate past thanks to the mucking-about of Nero following the supernova of the Hobus star and the destruction of Romulus. Spock is helping what remains of the Vulcan civilization rebuild itself on its new homeworld, "New Vulcan."

McCoy: lived to be at least 147 and an admiral at Starfleet medical. Later joined forces with Scotty to rescue Spock.

Scotty: Rescued by the crew of the Enterprise-D, he got a shuttle and is going on his own adventures, visiting homeboys in outer space, and (at least according to the books) stole the original Enterprise to try to rescue Spock, and later commanded the USS Challenger with Geordi La Forge as his XO before being killed.

Uhura: She taught at the academy, later went on to be part of Starfleet intelligence according to the "Lost Era" novels.

Sulu: Commanded Excelsior, fathered Demora. Not sure what happened after all that.

Chekov: became Sulu's XO for a while.

When Pike is promoted to Fleet Captain perhaps he brought some of his old crew with him. Yeoman Colt might have remained with him as an assistant? Jose Tyler possibly rose in rank and transferred out eventually.

Commodore Jose Tyler shows up in Peter David's novel, The Rift.

That's one of David's better novels, too. Tyler has a very tragic story for a while there. Really enjoyed reading it when it it first came out and again years later.

Not cloned, but he was revived by a Borg nanoprobes and a device they captured involving a renegade Romulan faction. Because this Borg faction believed Picard was responsible for the Borg defeat at Wolf 359 they were using Kirk to destroy him. A combination of Mr. Spock, Dr. Crusher, Dr. Bashir and Dr. McCoy were able to stop him from killing Picard.

I like to think that after the Khitomer Conference, Chekov transferred aboard Excelsior as first officer. Eventually promoted to commanding officer when Sulu was made Admiral.

Lt. Kyle was killed by a drunk shuttlecraft pilot in December 2264.
Mr. Leslie was reported missing in action near Cestus III in December 2265.
Kevin Thomas Riley is an insurance agent in Modesto, California.
Lt. Cmdr. Giotto is a writer living in Canada.

;)

I always figured Giotto would open a Famous Ray's pizza place on Vulcan.
