I finished Star Trek: New Frontier: The Returned, Part 2 by Peter David.

I'm now reading A Bloody Storm, the third in the Derrick Storm e-trilogy by "Richard Castle".

Hey, I'm doing the same thing. I'm currently reading Titan: Taking Wing and enjoying it so far.

What did you think of Death in Winter? I've got 2 chapters to go. It's been alright, I just wish it had a stronger TNG presence, without the tag-along Stargazer guys. But i usually always enjoy Mike Friedman books anyways. I grew up on his writing from the older Pocket books he wrote as well as the TNG Dc comic he did.

Reviewed a novel that I remember from my high school days and recently re-read: The Best and the Brightest by Susan Wright. This one has always been a memorable novel, and it mostly holds up.

Finally starting Kirsten Beyer's Atonement, a little late!

I wrapped up TNG: Death in Winter a few days ago. Wasn't bad. I'm now about 3-4 chapters into Titan: Taking Wing. Slow start so far, but i understand why. Alot of characters to introduce.

I was going to jump into David Mack's Seekers #3: Long Shot, but decided to check out some of the short stories in the first volume of Strange New Worlds, which I just recently acquired. Started with Dayton Ward's story, and I'm loving it!

 

[Endgame]

Finished two short story textbooks: "The Short Story" (2nd ed.) by Stone, Huddleston-Packer, & Hoopes (1983) and "The Story and Its Writer" (7th ed.) edited by Ann Charters (2007). Read "The Rise of the Anti-Corporate Movement: Corporations and the People Who Hate Them" by Evan Osborne (2007). Read a Christian book: "The Kingdom Matrix" by Christopherson. Read "The Comedy of Errors" and watched it at Bard-on-the-Beach in the steampunk version then read "King Henry VI (Part One)" but no Star Trek :-( I am still in Season 3 of watching TNG. Other things happening. Currently reading "Enlightenment 2.0: Restoring Sanity to Our Politics, Our Economy, and Our Lives" by Joseph Heath (2014) with a reading group. Bought many e-books but most of them are academic.

I saw the pilot for the X-Files for the first time in the past week. I guess I am a late adopter! I must have seen (received) the Christmas video "Make It So" long after everyone else had seen it. And, I only just recently received "We are the Canadian Borg" in an e-mail as an attachment. Is there a humour section on the website? I should find one of the many other areas on the website other than (just mere) reading of literature. But I would also like to read more books.

I just finished Armaggedon's Arrow by Dayton Ward. There is not a thread for this book, which surprised me, but I enjoyed how it felt very much like an hour long TNG episode (albeit with some of the less that stellar TrekLit characters).

I finished Fallen Gods. I know alot of people didn't have a high opinion of it, but I thought it was great.

If Amazon comes through for me, tonight I will be starting Star Wars: Aftermath. I'm very excited.

Started Atonement by Kirsten Beyer. So far, so good but that's not unexpected

I'm back to commuting by train again, so I'm getting plenty of time to burn through books on the kindle - in the last couple of months I've read (amongst other non-trek books): The Mirror universe arc (the MU books and the DS9 relaunch books), which meant I finished that just in time to read Sacraments of Fire. Looking forward to Ascendance. Then I read Seekers 3 - good job, very entertaining. I hope this series runs for some time.
I wanted something a little different, so I read the TNG novel diplomatic implausibility. I found myself really enjoying the Gorkon and crew, which I've never had any particular desire to read about before, so Ive since read the first three Gorkon novels, and am now on the fourth, where the series gets mysteriously retitled, just in time to end. It's been greatly surprising how much I've liked these books.
