Axanar dropped a plot spoiler about a month ago

The entire production seems wrought with knee-jerk reactionaries whenever they interact with anyone who asks a hard question or raises any objection to what they're doing.
My advice to them is to just weather the comments, respond rationally and try to leave emotion off the table. Well, that's my advice for any production, fan or otherwise.

They really are full of themselves.
This is what is getting tiresome. They get very defensive when anyone says anything that isn't pro-Axanar. How about spending less time on podcasts and more time on making the movie?

I stopped about two or three minutes into the podcast when they were discussing paying salaries for a professional crew and comparing it to the mostly volunteer work at the other fan productions. One of the reasons that my donations are going elsewhere, namely the volunteer productions where I'm not supporting someone's salary. Room, board and transportation costs are one thing, salaries are quite another.

I think you are confusing thin-skinned with very direct - he is pretty open, but some people don´t like his direct answers

I agree. The complete default rush to go on the defensive and attack anyone who says anything not positive about them is probably the thing that causes me the most distaste for this project.
Anyway.
Some stray thoughts re: the "state of the union":
--More of Burnett complaining and bemoaning his responsibilities, shitting on the people criticizing his Vulcan scene.
--"There are people who have come and gone from this project who don't love STAR TREK as much as we do." - Robert Burnett. (so what? since when has being a bigger fan of Star Trek led to an objectively good film? Kurtzman and Orci are fans, but Burnett shits on their two movies all the time.)
"I am not doing it to get chicks!" - Robert Burnett on why he's directing Axanar (because yes, "getting chicks" is what it's all about for everyone else. Jesus.)
Burnett blathering on about CBS and Paramount and his (very obviously) limited understanding (just like the rest of us) about why they're doing what they're doing:
He goes on and on (and on and on) offering moer speculation and presenting it all as if it's irrefutable fact, citing Marvel, the X-Files, and declaring that Star Trek "needs a Kevin Feige" before declaring that STar Trek is "too old" to be popular.
Can't listen to the rest at the moment, unfortunately. A transcript of this unfortunate circle-jerk would have been nice to read, but whatever. Maybe I'll try again to listen later.
Of course if they did this, the line would be: "Man, those Axanar guys are full of themselves. They can't even be bothered to communicate with their donors. How hard would it be to set up a regular podcast?"

And we all need to hear about it. As repetitively as possible. Anytime anything happens at all.
Well, the podcast was shared and I listened to it. That the content therein led me to my opinions doesn't mean I'm not open-minded. It means that the people involved are not really presenting themselves in the best manner they could be.
If they ever finish the film, I'll keep my open mind about that on its own terms when I watch it. For now, all I see them doing is talk, talk, talk.

If you're gonna spend a year not making a movie, while spending 640k of donor money... You best atleast make a podcast.... But I would rather you just make the movie!
