I'm hoping for a decent Dalek story. There hasn't been one since RTD.
If you want to be completely accurate, there hasn't really been a decent Dalek story since Eccleston's season. Although Into the Dalek did have its moments, I guess.
Dalek - 8/10
Great story. Great character for the Dalek. The Dalek actually slaughtered people, something which Moffat is crap at getting his Daleks to do.
Bad Wolf / The Parting of the Ways - 9/10
Brilliant. Best of the new series. Plus a regeneration to boot.
Army of Ghosts / Doomsday - 7/10
Great story but overshadowed by the impending departure of Rose.
Daleks in Manhatten / Evolution of the Daleks - 6/10
If you look past the pig slaves and six-penis-head Sec it's not really a bad story, and paints the Daleks in a very tragic light.
The Stolen Earth / Journey's End - 4/10
Very average story which tries to do for companions what The Five Doctors did for Time Lords - and fails. Davros was never a favourite of mine, and the 'Daleks lose control' scene at the end was just embarrassing.
Victory of the Daleks - 5/10
It had potential. I try and see that whenever I watch it but it's hard.
The Pandorica Opens / The Big Bang - 6/10
Not a proper Dalek story but they feature prominently. At the end of RTD's first season the Dalek death toll was off the scale. At the end of Moffat's the death toll was four (from memory).
Asylum of the Daleks - 5/10
Tried too hard for it's own good. The fanwank JNT-esque name dropping doesn't even save this one.
Into the Dalek - 2/10
Pathetic. Dr Who meets Fantastic Voyage. Embarrassing to watch but then you forget this is a kids show first. At least people get shot in this one.
