Why do people love to use weasel words in the titles to have click bait?

I love that episode. The interaction between her and Worf is hilarious.

I never hated Keiko. Not a stellar character, but nothing really bad.

Keiko can be a bit strident and irritating, but I didn't hate her. Of course after reading the Chief O'Brian at work comics I have to say I am a bit more inclined to strongly dislike her... lol.

How could anyone hate the descendent of Soon-Lee Klinger?

Must have been an interesting genealogy, since Soon-Lee is Korean and Keiko is Japanese. I'm guessing either their child or grandchild moved to Japan after the spinoff series?

I have to agree with others here. I liked her, but yeah at her worst (or sometimes average), she was pretty boring at times.

I liked episodes where she got to do more, but 80% of the time she was only on screen because Miles was on screen. A couple of those TNG episodes where she got to stand on her own were fairly nice, if only because of the variety. I wish she interacted a little more with the rest of the DS9 crew outside of Kira.

In hindsight, I would have liked a Bashir/Keiko episode, in which Keiko's forced to take Miles' place in the adventure and the two end up bickering but end up sharing a laugh by making fun of Miles behind his back.

I liked her in the episode about the school. But that's it. She just seemed to alternate between outright bitchiness, passive-aggressiveness, and I can't believe she didn't get why O'Brien was creeped out at the thought of getting romantic with her when she was physically 12 years old.

Anything's possible, since there's 400 years between Soon-Lee and Keiko. And Rosalind Chao is second generation Chinese-American.

She wasn't that interesting but I never got the hate for her.

I like when she stuck to her guns and refused to compromise education. She was willing to sacrifice her happiness for her husband's career. I think the problem is that she was a female character, in a relationship with a very likable and more prominent male character, who possessed opinions and feelings of her own. On television, that's heresy. On television we're used to seeing the male hero just get what he wants and Keiko had the nerve to not just automatically be happy and then to vocalize those feelings.

Pam got the same kind of heat in the last season of The Office.

For one the her acting just felt absolutely horrible.

When your chemistry is suppose to reflect obrien that's not gonna work.

She should of been recast years ago, but whatever.


That being said I appreciate you was established as obriens ordinary wife. Obrien is a noncom your regular guy who got a few lucky breaks.

The idea that he's married to some great frigate captain or the like would ruin things.


That's of course ignoring the fact that we see many different types of relationships in the show.

I don't hate her. I did like that one episode where she becomes possessed by a Pah-Wraith. It was nice to Kieko and O'Brien's family interaction on the show besides Sisko and Jake or Rom and Nog.

Coming from a person who hasn't seen most of DS9 yet, I haven't seen much of her to dislike her. I can see where they're coming from though.

When you watch In the Hands of the Prophets, you're either going to like her or hate her.

There is nothing wrong with Keiko. Shes actually more interesting then Obrien was in DS9.

What really should be debated is why was Siskos girlfriend a freighter captain and duplicating a relationship of Babylon 5 s main character?
