True..and think over the past 10 years how many have we lost in TOS fandom..from Scotty and Charles Napier to Malachi Throne..numerous guest stars have gone as well..at least we still have the episodes to watch them at their prime..
Nichelle.........All my hopes.
DeForest Kelley could be mentioned as well, if you go beyond the ten year mark.
Their characters, and TOS, are timeless and classic--it's hard to think that these people are mortal and won't be around forever.
Nichelle's facebook page says that she is awake, aware, in good spirits (considering the circumstances), and able to have meals and full conversations. And some minor mobility issues, but no paralysis. So it would seem that things are looking up for her.

That is good news.
Well, that was 20 years ago. We're approaching the 50th anniversary of a show that stared 30-somethings.
The thing is that these little strokes often precede a big massive one that does you in. I would hold off the celebrations for now.
I want everyone in North Texas that prayed for rain to now pray for Nichelle.
