I just hate the whole idea of the storyline. Its not getting the benefit of the doubt from me. Its hit all the check boxes so far for "story arc I'll loathe". Also, I have no idea why Coulson's team would be called "dangerous fugitives", since they have done literally nothing to deserve that, outside of not allow the government to arrest them, and that's a problem. The Government is 1000x more corrupt and dangerous that Coulson's SHIELD could ever be.
As for Mac and Mockingbird, they're traitors, but they're professionals. Spying on Coulson while his team was saving the world probably gave fake SHIELD a lot of important info on inhumans and related stuff, so Mac/Mockingbird were just ordered to watch and help. I have no doubt that, for example, Mac would slit Fitz's throat in his sleep if ordered to, without hesitation. Hunter was captured because they figure they might be able to manipulate him into joining them. If they didn't think that, he'd probably be dead.
If they can see the good Coulson's team is doing and still betray them, they're no better than Ward. I was hoping that, when we first learned Mac/Mockingbird were answering to someone, that it was either Nick Fury, or that it was someone they would eventually betray due to loyalty to Coulson after having worked with him. But, that obviously isn't the case. I'll keep watching for the main cast and the inhuman stuff, but I'm already completely done with the entire fake SHIELD story arc. As far as I'm concerned its horrible episode filler that hopefully won't derail the actual plots of the season, like the inhuman stuff, Skye's powers, etc.
